Subway

Why 5 stars you ask? So let me explain. When we arrived to do our weekly shopping, be it Walmart or wherever for groceries, we decided to grab a bite at Subway and shop at Walmart for convenience. Now this is not the first time here, it was my second. The first was for a simple large drink because I was thirsty and was about to shop for an hour! The employee was courteous, offered discounts for my next visit and generally in a good mood - which seems scarce these days! Fast forward to today. Same employee - Josh. Same friendly greeting, but today he said he had to let me know they were out of many items and began to go over what he couldn't offer. I asked what happened and he handled very well. I asked what can I have? He had plenty of options that I could live with and we ordered. Then came the drink choice...unsweetened tea...nope, out of that too! Poor guy. He said he could make up a batch pretty quick! I didn't care, I could do water since I don't do sweetened soda. Then the alarm went off while he was trying to make our sandwiches. He handled like a champ, didn't freak out and took care of it without missing a beat. All in all, this was the second time with Josh at the helm of a Subway shop all by himself and didn't miss a beat. That is something I haven't seen at many fast food places where a personality is not paid for. Josh should be given an award for the way he responded to lack of inventory for very popular sandwiches, no tomato, out of sauces and such and COULDN'T TAKE CASH! Talk about a trooper! Way to go Josh! Haven't been to Subway much, but you certainly put it back on the radar! I believe in rewarding stars based on effort among other things. The effort of Josh helped this store not suck today. :)
