Thankful that real cooks and family owned businesses still exist. I ordered collard greens that I'd been hoping they had. I've found my new favorite for homemade greens. They are perfectly spiced and seasoned. Made with turkey (but always ask in case it's pork).

I love her potato salad. It is like mashed potatoes and the taste is sweet. She has thinly sliced flavorful brisket and her lemonade is great too.

Time proven classic soul food right on the corner of 35W and Rosedale. Handwritten specials on a dry erase board today were breaded pork chops and barbecue smoked turkey legs. Phenomenal! Just as amazing were the sides.. cooked greens, yams, fried okra. They have daily specials as well.
Super duper sweet lemonade, tea and Kool aid. Don't forget to try the teacakes! They're not GF but I'm told they are delish.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and hade the turkey leg plate with potato salad and baked beans and tea to drink .. the food was really good I say a lot better than most barbecue places the meat was not over cooked it was perfect and the tea was perfect too but the customer service was A1 we will definitely be returning to Mama E's to eat I want to try everything. Thank you for your service and hospitality.

Moma E has the most amazing home cooked food and customer service. They are friendly, accommodating, and fast! I eat here at least once a month.

Good food and good service. We Shared a 3 meat plate and large kool-aid for $20.
They have home cooked meals as well so be sure to ask about those at the register (I think these change daily). Today they had meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs and fried pork chops.

THE BEST BARBECUE IN THE UNITED STATES! Miss Ernestine is a barbecuing queen. I cannot believe how good that potato salad was and the sauce and the sweet potato pie and oh my goodness!!! If you haven’t tried this food, you need to! A fantastic, clean, delicious, local business with great customer service and great food! Thank you, Mama E’s!!!
