Ate there last night after driving by too many times. Had the bacon and cheese wrapped shrimp. Yes it was as good as it sounds. But the best was the vegetables served with it. Zucchini sautéed in onions with a layer of melted cheese over it. Service was attentive and the food came quick. I’ll be back soon. Goodbye mexican inn and Rosas cafe
Went to El Cerrito for Father's Day lunch. My meal consisted of one chicken taco and one cheese enchilada, with rice and refried beans. Lynda and I shared fried ice cream for dessert. The food and service were outstanding.
The freshman mariachi band from North Side High School of Fort Worth was excellent. The restaurant is located on the Jacksboro Highway, just past the City of Lake Worth.
This place is a hidden gem set off the Jacksboro Highway. The service was good, but the food was delicious. The salsa was super tasty without being incredibly hot. The maragritas were strong and flavorful. My husband and I had a chicken taco salad we will be eating again. My daughter had quesdillas she couldn't get enough of. My son had their giant burrito, which was so big I cannot t believe he ate it all. We all shared their flan for dessert, yummy!! A definite place to go!
Food was really good. Service was good as well. Margaritas were tasty and big!
The restaurant was very nice, but also felt cozy and warm. We had a big party of people but the wait staff was very nice and accommodating. All the food was hot and fresh, without too much of a wait. I ordered the beef fajita burrito covered in queso and it was delicious. The children's menu of quesadillas were bigger than I expected. The fried ice cream was enough for three people to share and looked awesome. We will be back very soon!
As always a stunning experience, the new building still is lacking a bit in head room, but we appreciate the effort the team is making... On the positive side of the experience, the best Mexican food in a 50 mile radius we swear. If the question is whether to try El Cerritos or not, do it and you will not be disappointed! The service is always kind and prompt as well and the delicious food! Just come and try it!
I’ve eaten here many times. I’ve never had bad service. The food is always good and my tea stays filled. This is one of our family favorites to eat at. Enchiladas, fajitas, chips and queso is all good!! Give it a try!
Food was outstanding and our waiter kev was excellent. He served our large party by himself and gaveus great service.
The only problem was they seemed to be VERY understaffed. We waited an hour for a table when the restaurant was only half full. Granted we had a party of 16 but I think it could have been coordinated much faster. I think the person in charge of the kitchen made it very slow for our food to come out as well.
Have been enjoying there food every since they open. It's our stop once a week for dinner, It keeps getting better, nice quiet atmosphere, no wait for a table prompt respectable service. I Believe in helping support Independent small local business, While all the hypocrite's eat at the chain restaurants.
One of my favorite places to eat. Friendly staff, great food and the frozen margaritas are awesome. The red salsa is fine for us gringos, but the green salsa is good and hot.
Nothing bad but not blown away either. Went around 4pm on a Sunday. The server was great, we talked to him and he explained he was learning how to wait tables and is usually a bus boy. Honestly I preferred him over many more experienced servers I have been served by. Yes he did come back to the table once to double check a detail of our order but I applaud this. Would rather it be right the first time than get something and have to have them fix it. My dining partner had the peach margarita. She enjoyed it and they didn't skimp on the liquor.
She had the beef fajita chimichanga. She liked it. I had the chicken flautas. While they are taquito sized, the flavor was great. Refried beans and rice are solid Tex-Mex.
Salsa was flavorful with great light crispy chips. I prefer hotter salsa, this was very mild. I didn't ask if they offer a hotter variety.
Only negative was the odor. It is a old building and you can definately smell the musty odor. It doesn't bother me, reminds me of visiting grandma's. Some diners may be turned off by it. Positive of the building is the view out the windows.
This was my first visit to the new place since they moved, but I was a regular at the old location.
Have always loved their food, and it hasn't changed. Also, the staff is always friendly and attentive, I've never had a single thing to complain about. I only wish I still lived in the area, I'd still be a regular.
