Four of us had lunch today at Habenero Mexican Cuisine and absolutely loved the place. The food was fantastic, so fresh and delicious, the portions HUGE, and our waitress was so delightful and accomodating. I loved the fresh made Salsa, and she made up about a pound of it for us to take home with their homemade tortilla chips. We will definitely return to dine here.
Fantastico! I loved it, I'll definitely be coming back with an appetite.
This place is fantastic! The folks are very friendly and the food is great. Highly recommended. My coworkers say their breakfast options a really good.
Super find! Might be the best Mexican Cuisine in Fort Worth. OK, I'm admitted Mexican food snob. I'll eat street vendor food, tex-mex, Mexican cuisine and almost everything in between. Last night my wife and I were treated to a suberb meal in this little unassuming restaurant. We had eaten here once before and it was really good so we came back for a second taste.
I ordered the chile rellano and my wife had the taquitos. Also, for an appetizer we had the pepes, a stuff, deep fried jalepenos. They were stuffed with shredded chicken and cream cheese and fried to perfection. My meal came with tortilla soup that arrived just after the pepes. This soup is the best I've had since eating at the Mission in Cozumel Mexico. The broth was light, huge amounts of chicken, avacado, cilantro, and onions. A slight squeeze from the lime and this was soup perfection. If I wasn't such a glutton, I would have stopped with the soup and the pepes and it would have been a solid meal. But then I would have missed this rellano. I choose to have it stuffed with picadillo, a blend of ground beef, potatoes, onions, and cheese. Instead of battered and fried, the poblano was roasted to tender perfection and covered with cheese. It was covered with yummy tomatillo sauce with a little crema. Simply put, one of the best I've ever had. Oh by the way, the rice was large, puffy and delicious. My wife wasn't that hungry and went with the taquitos, so much for eating light. There were five taquitos, perfectly fried, covered with schredded cabbage and top with crema. I tasted them and they were very good.
I've eaten at probably 15-20 Mexican food restaurants in Fort Worth and this may be the best Mexican cuisine in town. The style is more central Mexican rather than Tex-Mex. The menu is wisely limited and so far, expertly executed. It's in an out of the way location but well worth finding. I have a feeling they'll be upgrading location and facilities before long. I can't wait to try more!
The Chile Relleno was very good, the rice was perfect and beans ok. This is the only place that I know south of 820 that has mexican hot dogs! My son had the chicken tortilla soup and said it was very good. We will definitely give this place a try for bfast.
Food good, large portions. I recommend the street tacos. Yummy.
Stopped in on my lunch break, Had the pastor, and asada tacos. Nice cold topo Chico to go with it. Great service, delicious tacos. Great customer service too. Will definitely be back if im in the area
I live less than 2 miles from this location. Stopped by to grab a large chips and salsa. The salsa came in a VERY large container, with a LARGE bag of chips for less than $8. i decided to go ahead and place an order for my lunch for the next day. I hate i did that because i will be wanting to eat here DAILY.🤤 i ordered the beef enchilada plate. I really enjoyed everything i ordered. I ate my lunch for dinner , then ordered again the next day for lunch. Lol. Needless to say i will be returning. The staff was super friendly as well.
I took my wife, daughter, and her family out to eat here. The food was EXCELLENT! And our hostess rearranged the tables so that all of us could sit together.
The prices were exceptionally reasonable too. I'd definitely come back!
The food was amazing and authentic. Chico treated us like family . It was our first time here but for sure won’t be last
yes, it is worth 4 stars because the food was good hard to find good Mexican food in texas. I know it's hard to believe but true , at least Dallas , Houston areas. the restaurant is a small dinning area. food is reasonable 3 tacos beans rice 11$ I got the steak tacos. Regular size tacos full of meat with diced onion, cilantro. the plate had cooked beans, no can beans and rice was cooked perfect not broken! good flavor. the only downside was coca-cola was in a plastic bottle. UPDATE !! I went a second time later in the week and the rice was cold straight out of the Refrigerator which means it's not fresh. So I was very happy the first time I visited. But very unhappy the second time . Also I suggest get the steak tacos vs. chicken.
First time eating here. Food was great!
Excellent service! Me and my husband will definitely go back!
Was alittle scared when entering cuz only one other couple in there on a saturday afternoon seemed odd but got a menu seemed legit...enchiladas mexicanas, tacos de barbacoa, guacamole...best most authentic mexican food ive had in a long time ...nothing but perfection super rico y se hablan espanol..forgive the chips n the guac i was hungry
The staff was so attentive and nice & Tacos were fresh and amazing 👏 Loving every bite ! Price was fair 👌
We had a great experience. The service was great and the food was delicious. The habenero salsa isn't spicy but very flavorful. The ceviche was tasty and fresh. We also ordered the habenro chicken club. It has the habenero salsa on it with juicy grilled chicken. Nom!!
Different take on your typical mexican dishes. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Meals come with chips and salsa. No frills environment that is quiet and homey. I had the fajita combo plate and had enough left over for a meal the following day.
