Favorite take out spot for a catfish dinner. The dill tartar sauce sets the meal off! Staff is always friendly and fast. Never a long wait and the food is delicious.
I gotta say, I came here because the reviews were all good(except one) and as I walked in I was wondering if I should believe the reviews? It's a small place, it could use a little TLC and the a/c might need some help but we stayed and ate and I have to say.... It was pretty darn good. The fish filets were great and the fries were pretty crispy. The shrimp was a good size and the breading was fried to just the right crispness. The breading could use a little more seasoning but it was still good. I had tried a small place off of Altamesa also and this place blew that one away. I will be coming back. The staff was friendly also. But please do something about the a/c
Everything is kept very clean great seafood and staff!😎👍
OMG this food is AMAZING!!! Cooked to an absolute perfection and served hot n fresh...So Good!
Excellent staff and u can't beet the food.
The catfish was great, green beans (french cut) very nice, along with the tasty hush puppies and large fried shrimp. I ordered the catfish strips with the fried rib (😲😲 !!) Catfish was tasty, not too salty, but a very nice crunchy skin and great flavor. The fried rib was a first time event for me and I must say that with the added BBQ sauce, it was quite a pleasant surprise. Several others combination plates and baskets were available to fit one's taste or hunger level. GREAT staff and greeter, quick and efficient service, and they play "old school" R&B as background music and just the right volume. (That was a nice touch) So if you're hungry and in the McCart area, stop by for a nice meal and good fried catfish.
First time at restaurant, Chevis the cashier was friendly and welcoming, prices are good for quantity and quality of food. Ordered 3 fillet basket myself and a shrimp po-boy for my wife. Food was super fresh and hot out of the fryer! Basket was very filling, tater sauce and hot sauce were good. Po-boy had jumbo shrimp versus popcorn standard…really made a difference in taste, Molly can fry it up good! Super friendly, very clean little spot. I’ll go back again for sure!!
I have been going to this location for about a year and a half. What I have notice is that even tho they are a small business and a popular business they are usually not busy. We usually go in a group with anywhere from 3-7 people including one in a wheelchair and they always accommodate us. They have a large menu to choose from. The food is always fresh, hot, good and a large portion. The price is right! This place is a nice cozy casual place. They are not easily notice from a vehicle in traffic. Plenty of parking including handicap parking. Do recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back again!
You order from a counter looking at the menu behind the person taking the order. He was helpful, and did his best steering me to some choices based on what I like. I ended up getting 4 large catfish fillets which are very clean in flavor and the cornmeal fry is good. Crinkle cut fries aren't my favorite style but they are good here, a couple of tasty hush puppies with some red beans and rice which had some tomatoes and no sausage or anything extra, which was correctly advertised, and still good. $18 for a filling meal for a large appetite man, any sauces I requested, and good food. Can't wait to try the po boy next time.
This has been one of the best things I have eaten from a takeout in a LONG time. I was very impressed. The portion was huge and the price was fair. The fish was perfection. Perfectly seasoned with the perfect crunch. The fries were delicious and I normally don't find crinkle cut fries all that great. My favorite was the hush puppies!!!! I will be back. I recommend giving it a try. It is definitely worth it
