The staff is beyond friendly and seem to really enjoy what they do. Food is decent. It is definitely a hole in the wall. The chicken fried steak had loads of flavor, the baked potato was so good. Tons of food. It's an older place with an
Old vibe but we would definitely eat here again. Wednesdays the ribeye is a super special and thursdays the chicken fried steak is a special
Place looks run down but don't judge a book by its cover because inside you will find one of the best steak dinners you've ever had, and served by wonderful people! The place fills up quickly with regulars. This place has been in business for 43 years!! Forget the chains downtown. Go off the beaten path for a real treat!
I went there with my family on Wednesday and it was well worth the trip.
I loved the laid back friendly atmosphere, the staff was attentive and very friendly. I've seen this restaurant all my life and never went into get a bite. I'm sorry I didn't,I will be back. Very competitive prices and very simple menu.
I recommend the garlic on your steak. Definitely try the ribeye and don't forget the toast.
Ordered the 32 oz sirloin and if you are looking for a "real" steak with fat gristle and all it is fantastic. The garlic sauce is a little strong but I enjoyed it. My wife on the other hand was not a big fan of trying to pull out the fat and gristle. Very old school classic dive that clearly has never changed in years and years.
Ok, so this was our first visit. DO NOT let the building or the neighborhood deter you from trying M&M. The service was quick, very friendly and helpful. We shared the filet and I can say it was one of the better steaks I've had in a while. The meat was seared and crusty on the outside, warm, pink and juicy on the inside. It was tender and very well flavored. The sides, green beans and a baked potato. The green beans are the typical southern style but not over cooked as they can be sometimes. The baked potato was fluffy and huge. I strongly recommend you give this place a try, I think you will be as impressed as I am.

Go on Wednesday when its half priced steak! Baked potatoe, green beans, and Garlic bread was on point. Blocks away from stockyards. Hole in a wall type of restaurant but it's definitely good & staff is really nice & beer nice & cold! After being stuck on traffic...oooosssaaaa man, it just hits the spot!
An institution in Fort Worth. I was eating here before Google existed. This place sitting in an old parking lot in an area of authentic Mexican restaurants is a low roofed dive. Don't be afraid, go on in. Order from the simple menu and enjoy.
Best place ever.. not just because my great grandmother an cousin originally owned it! (M&M) - Mike & Marie but because it's the best streakhouse in Fort Worth!! Esp if Miss Sherby still cooking who's been there since hired by my grandmother when family owned it!!
Opted for a Chicken fried steak with fresh tossed salad and baked potato. The CFS covered the oversize plate, the spud was huge and the salad was refreshing. Oh, and the gravy was the perfect topping on a well prepared and tender CFS.
The only thing that prevents the 5 star rating is the beverage servings; no sweet tea and soft drinks are served in a 16 oz can @ $2.25 each... no refills without another $2.25. Good thing there was plenty of gravy to wash down my meal.
Lesson Learned? Order water, it's in a big glass... although I didn't see any of those being refilled either... maybe it was a bad night to eat at M&M Steakhouse - but check it out for yourselves!
Chicken Fried Steak w/ Garlic Gravy! Don't let the appearance hold you back. Walk in and roll out. You won't leave hungry after this Texas sized chicken fry.
