Galligaskin's Submarines Restaurant & Catering

Today was my first time to ever eat from this restaurant. I’ve lived in Fort Worth for 30 years so I know it’s a local favorite. The few times I’ve come in to pick up deliveries for DoorDash. It has smelled so good. I don’t have a lot of money. In fact, I’m full on, broke and struggling, but I wanted a treat , So I picked up a 4 inch cheesesteak sandwich. I didn’t see what I was getting until I got home. This is got to be the smallest inch sub I’ve ever seen. I was too hungry and tired to drive back over so I ate it. It was tasty it just that I was able to get it down in two bites. $7.48 with tip I spent for this little thing. Very disappointed. **Update- I went in to the restaurant today to show them this picture. I asked if I could have a discount on another sandwich. They were very accommodating and gave me a 10 inch sub for the price of a 7 inch sub. I think their Philly cheesesteak sandwich is awesome. Very tasty! I appreciate their willingness to accommodate. Stick with the 7 inch sub, though. That’s plenty for one person :).

It has been a really long time since I've been to Galligaskin's Sub Shop. My favorite sub is the hot pastrami with pickles, cherry peppers, and brown mustard. The sub isn't complete without an order of tater tots and a Coke. The only thing different is the sub sandwich roll. It's softer than the past sub sandwich rolls, but I am okay with that. The only thing that could sink (no pun intended) a soft sub sandwich roll is getting a hot sandwich and the juices making the roll soggy. Nonetheless, my sub was very delicious, which included some hot pepper sauce. If you love hot or cold sub sandwiches, come to Galligaskin's! They also have burgers and such! Enjoy!

This place is so good. Came here on the recommendation of a buddy who said he has been eating here since he was a little kid, and it was the oldest sub shop in Texas. So one day, while in that area, I swung by. It is now a staple anytime I make it to that area of fort worth it a must stop. Give them a try. Everything I've tried was fantastic.

We ordered the Italian and Marinated Chicken sandwiches. They both were great taste and portion wise. One big con, and this is a big one for us. The bread was stale. Definitely will visit again and just hoping it was an off day. Edit: We went for a second time this week. Happy to report sandwiches were on point. No stale bread.
