It was national cheeseburger day, so I decided to take my wife out to Fred's Texas Cafe.
I am embarrassed to say I was born and raised in Fort Worth and have never eaten a burger at Fred's! We learned what we have been missing!
It opened in 1976, one year before I was born, and in those 45 years, they have most definitely learned how to make the best hamburger in Fort Worth! I had the Diablo burger, it was the perfect amount of spicy, and we had it Fred sized for 3 dollars more! It was incredible! And the loaded fries, wow, loaded indeed with deliciousness!!!
We will be coming back to try other hamburgers! They had live music on the patio, but my wife and I found a table inside; we enjoyed it a little more private. Parking is a challenge; plan on that.

True Texas with cold beer in iced globes and the best burger you could put on your mouth. Did I mention Texas?? Love this place and highly recommend!

Great fast service. Make sure to utilize the happy hour specials. The burgers were amazing. We had a large group and the food all arrived at the same time!!! The queso fries as well as the queso and chips were wonderful.

Always friendly... If you want healthy this is not the place, if you comfort food, burgers, burgers, burger, this is the place... I usually have the Fred's burger or Outlaw...

Great service! Shelly was wonderful in her accommodations with our puppy. We enjoyed date night and good food! Cheap drinks and good place to stop by if your in Fort Worth near 7th Street !

First time here and the food was delicious! Giant burgers great appetizers and great sides! The staff was kind and respectful! Will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Loved the burgers and fries at Fred’s Texas Cafe! If you enjoy spicy food, the Diablo burger is definitely the way to go. We had wonderful service, very kind and welcoming staff, I can’t wait to go back and enjoy again!

We got a chance to enjoy the Blue Cheese Burger. The meat had great consistency not dripping fat, cooked just as we ask. The sides are good, but the burgers still the show. If you like burgers, give Fred’s a try.
