Freds Texas Tcu

Omg.... I can't say enough about this place!! It was absolutely amazing. They definitely don't skip on the food being TEXAS sized! I ordered the Queso Burger and hubby ordered the Queso Chicken Fried Steak and both were worth every penny. Neither of us could finish. Hands down one of our favs and we will be back. You should try them for sure!

We came on a Thursday afternoon and not many people. The food was absolutely delicious and the queso was probably one of my favorites. I knocked off a star for the service. Our waitress was nice but impossible to catch and it took forever to get the check. Didn’t get a refill even once on our drinks.

We ate here for lunch and really enjoyed ourselves. The Texas atmosphere was great with a nice menu. We chose the country style steak with a Poblano pepper(called the outlaw) and it was delicious! There are several options for country style steak. Salads and chicken options looked great and the loaded fries were a great appetizer. There is a nice outdoor patio seating area. And inside has different areas of seating maligning it an easy place to meet friends for a visit and celebration. We will definitely be back!

Came for lunch after Boxing Sparring to a Restaurant called Fred's and it was SO DELICIOSO!!! Their salad was so good and fresh, especially their Homemade Ranch dressing. Then my Chicken Fried Steak was the best I've ever tasted. I'm not one to eat Zucchini because I don't like it, but That was their vegetable of the day and let me just say,"I Loved It!!" The sauce it came in had great flavor. My husband's Burger was delicious too, along with his cheese fries. Bryan our Server was one of my Top 5 Servers from all the Restaurants I've been to. Everyone was so nice and Friendly, that one felt like family. The atmosphere was so nice and clean. I most definitely recommend this Restaurant and when we are back in Ft.Worth, Tx we will go back!

I would say this place is a 4.5 out of 5. Considering that, I rounded up. I had the mushroom burger on texas toast with loaded French fries. The burger was great on texas toast with bacon! As for the loaded French fries, they are amazing! The only complaint is that some of the people that were here on a Friday night decided you should know about their life from 3 tables away. So. If you're looking for a chill spot and good food, come in on a weekday. Enjoy the good food and great smiling service.

First visit.....we will be back. The atmosphere is great for good conversation. The open patio doors are a nice touch. There's much to be explored on the menu. I myself started with the fried pickles and the cheese fries with bacon. Neither were a disappointment. I went the brave route and had the CFS Outlaw. The strangest CFS I've ever encountered....and I loved it! So, of course the traditional CFS was on spot as well. Then there was a burger ordered, meat and cheese only. Now the burger patty was fantastic! The flavor is definitely there and perfectly cooked. My only complaint about the burger is the choice of bread. Why would you use such a substandard bun with such a magnificent patty? Service was okay... The hostess was let go early which left us awkwardly standing and waiting in front not knowing if we should sit ourselves. Until we saw a "wait to be seated" sign about 6 feet from the entrance around the corner to our left. We caught the attention of a server randomly turning a corner and caught her attention and so she took us to her section. Servers definitely need to make certain the salads being served are not littered with slimy leaves. We did send back two salads because of wilted lettuce. Friendliness was a 6 out of 10. We will definitely be back and I'm going to order a big juicy burger, I really hope, does not have a bun that falls to pieces. And I really look forward to the banana pudding because I forgot to get it this time☺️ Side note --- out side lights need replacing or added. Way too dark at night for the area.
