Chadra is my favorite place to meet friends for great food and fun. The staff are friendly and the service is great. I am usually there with a group of loud and crazy friends and the staff never make us feel rushed if we hang out visiting long after we finish our meal. Tasty middle eastern food with a huge serving of Texas hospitality!
I went for the first time yesterday and got the buffet. The food was amazing and a great variety of food, the owner was very delightful and friendly! Definitely planning another trip, highly recommended!!!!
They moved here about a year ago so photos from a year ago or more do not reflect their current set up anymore. No more buffet at this location, only order from the menu. Otherwise, Great food, excellent menu, friendly staff, I got lamb shawarma that comes with salads and bread. Only a few seats in house so may need to take out rather than dine in, if there are already a few other customers sitting in. They seem to do much more catering business these days.
Great tasting food, reasonable prices, great customer service, and inviting dining area. Loved it. We tried the kabobs, salmon, and eggplant entrees and ll were very flavorful and juicy. A bit heavy handed on the black pepper but still very nice. Salads, chicken wrap, and pizza pita were also great. Loved the tomato basil soup. Hummus was different in a good way. Bathroom signs a little confusing (don’t know which one was for Men’s and which one was for Women’s)
Delicious food and recipes! The owners truly care about your experience and the quality of food and service customers receive. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Great relaxed atmosphere with wonderful menu and full bar. The cater options for auctions, board meetings and office parties have always been a hit. The heavenly chicken is a must try!
I love Mediterranean food! We came on a Wednesday. The website said Wednesdays are vegetarian buffets. Other than the pizza bar, the only meat was Paprika Chicken. We're told it's like this for all the lunch buffets, with the one meat changing daily.
There's plenty to eat, except the chicken. Our table got the last two pieces and it was a while before more chicken came out.
In fact, the chicken that came out was much better than Paprika Chicken! It was chicken kabobs - so flavorful and had the perfect light char! It would have been great on a salad, but came out after we were starting to get full.
Guess I'm not used to authentic falafel, as I thought they were firmer than I'm used to. The hummus had a bit too much garlic in it for me, with garlic bits that could have been minced finer.
The tzatziki sauce went with everything. It went especially well with beets. A small serving of rice pudding was a good end to a meal that didn't leave me feeling over-stuffed.
We plan to come back on a Friday or Saturday night for the seafood and lamb!
Such a great discovery. We ordered a couple of appetizers for the experience and a couple of dinners. The Shawarma is very good! The Falafel is awesome. Just good food! We dined in, but we may just order delivery next time and order enough for a few meals or a group of freinds. It's that good.
Went here with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Felt like we’d found a hidden gem since it was so good!
We veggie pizza was delicious! Vegetable on it tasted fresh, was nice and cheesy. We also had baklava and I loved how they added a few grapes with it too.
Though the location across from JPS is small, I will definitely come back or order out. :)
Found this gem because we the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed and we’re glad we did. This place is only 4 minutes from my Aunt’s place and it their food is amazing. I’m a foodie ans have tried many types of Mediterranean dishes, but this by far is one of my favorite places. The restaurant pictures they have up doesn’t show their current location. They are directly across the street from JPS emergency room and their restaurant is a little small with only 2 tables, but we dined in and glad we did. I got that Shawarma with steak and my Aunt got the Kabob Trio with steak, chicken and lamb. Everything came out amazing, the flavors were on point, the meat was tender and the portion was plentiful. The Greek salad is fire and their house salad dressing is delicious. Definitely will go here again for our lunch dates.
To-Go Review:
They were very quick in preparing the food and the service experience picking up was smooth. I had the gyro sandwich with fries. I think it's a fair price at $10 as fries and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. I'd definitely recommend using or getting an extra Tzaziki sauce as sometimes there may not be enough. That's strictly personal preference though, so I can see why they wouldn't overload it in the first place. For the side of hummus, I think $8 is a little steep, but at least it had a homemade taste to it. Overall, it was satisfying and filling.
This place is awesome! I didn't even know it existed until last week. The decor is cute and eclectic. Customer service awesome. They are polite and friendly. I don't get that alot. I had the tamarind margarita on the rocks. Delicious. I will definitely have it again. The trio appetizer came out quickly. I loved the babaganush. Pita bread- warm and flaky. I then tried the luquid hookah. Only get this if you love licorice. Which I do. My entree was the absolute best. Eggplant, steak, cinnamon rice and mixed nuts. I'd eat this again tomorrow. 5 stars. I can't wait to go back.
This dive is a great place for no frills mediterranean food right across from JPS. I tried the falafel salad here and at 2 other venues over a couple of weeks. This was the best, overall. Family operated business seems committed to making sure everything was right. Got to overhear some catering orders - same diligence there.
