Everyone - bartender, wait staff, cooks, bartender (yes, two times for the bartender) - and everything was wonderful. Be sure to get a bit of sauerkraut in each bite when eating the deviled eggs (trust me). And the homemade biscuits are an absolute MUST. The owner really did an excellent job of creating a pleasurable atmosphere and dining experience.

The Happy Hour here is worth the try. This is my second time. The first time I had the fried fish that I highly recommend. If you want a good experience but for a decent price definitely try the happy hour and their limited happy hour menu. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a vibe. Dimly lit, spacious tables. The patio was good during the fall.

We had a fantastic time! Went for happy hour and the entire staff was amazing, especially our server (Brooks). Everything tasted great. The catfish and biscuits are a must! I also enjoyed the deviled eggs.

It’s a tough call but I’m going to give this place 4 stars. The food was really good but my only gripe is my soft boiled egg was overcooked. It didn’t take away from the flavor though. It was all tasty and the service was good. The atmosphere was also really nice and cute but they could get better exhaust fans to decrease the smoke inside the restaurant. It was a bit pricey for what you got. I ordered a brisket egg sandwich and for $18 it should have at least come with breakfast potatoes or fries. Their cinnamon roll was probably one of the best I’ve ever had though.

The food, service and ambiance are amazing! We ordered biscuits for the table and the house-made fruit preserves jam, butter and honey were delicious! We also ordered French toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes which all were great options. Oscar waited on us on a busy Sunday morning with lots of TCU families from Parent Weekend. The food took a little longer than expected, however, Oscar was extremely attentive and apologetic to the situation. This type of customer service you can’t find anymore! I will make this our go to spot for lunch and breakfast mainly for the quality customer service dining experience!

The food was to die for!!! Our server was Marcos and he was on his game! We will definitely come back because it was worth the drive from Cedar Hill. My only wish is that they would bring some of that brunch menu to the dinner menu.

Out of this world biscuits, and the boudin gravy is slap 👋 your grandma good! 😋 Our waiter. Trevor was amazing and had some wonderful recommendations.

The food was exceptionally good! Our server Patrick was great and very knowledgeable of the menu and added that he was a fan of the pork chops as well. I wish I had more to tip him. This now on my top 10 places to dine in

In my nearly 50years on this planet, travels to many places, I can tell you this was one of the greatest meals of all time. From the Biscuits to the grits, in house butter, portion sizes… exceptional well done James Robert.

Soooo good we fully recommend everything we got. We also got the biscuits for an appetizer and it came with honey, jam, and whipped butter. Way more food than we could handle and so delicious

I realize now that I may give other restaurants too many stars. This one deserves all five. The staff is filled with a lot of character, charm and “southern” hospitality. I came and sat at the bar during happy hour. This is a great selection to start here with. I had a Honey Badger which is their take on a Gold Rush. Photo for reference. Not on the happy hour menu but def worth the try are the biscuits. Collin my bartender told me they are probably the best biscuits on earth and I think he was right they come out hot still steaming on the inside. With an amazing compliment of honey, house jam(strawberry that day), and butter. This was like having my dessert first and I wish I had just gotten more biscuits. I tried the chicken sandwhich. The made from scratch roll is a great base for all there burgers or sandwiches. The chicken was cooked perfect and I will come back to try the fried chicken dish because of this. It had a slaw on the sandwich that I realized that’s what slaw is supposed to taste like it added a fresh taste to the chicken and bun. It was a true compliment to the entire dish. I had such a small taste of the menu and I can’t wait to come back to attempt to try it all if I could leave you with one thing… please try the biscuits!!!

We had the most amazing experience for my Wife's Birthday! The server shared the story of the restaurant and the vision of the Chief! The food was amazing. Our favorites were the Louisiana Fried Catfish/French Toast/Chicken sandwich. The complement of the Blackberry Mimosa was the cherry on top. I would most definitely recommend this as one of my new favorites.

The service is stellar, the food is decent. My parents and grandparents ordered coffee and 2 of the coffees were extremely cool instead of hot like the others. My husband and I had the burgers and they were overpoweringly salty. In contrast, the fries had almost no flavor but they were perfectly cooked. The green tea is a nice loose leaf blend, and while it's nice that they bring it to you while still steeping, it would have been nice to get two saucers since the steeper did cause quite a bit of mess. Overall I felt it was decent, but could be better. At least the servers are attentive.

What an experience! My wife and I ate here on a Friday night, and we loved every moment of it. From the moment you walk in, you're struck by the beauty and intentionality of the design. The menu was simple and easy to understand, and they had a wide selection of drinks. They even made a "mocktail" for my pregnant wife, which was delicious. I heard that the biscuits (appetizer) and fried chicken (entree) were a must here, and I have to say that I was not at all disappointed. The biscuits might be the best I've ever had! They are made fresh and from scratch for every order, and you can taste it. They're served with spreading butter, honey, and peach preserve. The fried chicken was also incredible! It came with two chicken thighs that were perfectly breaded and seasoned, as well as a kale salad. I also got the cast iron pecan pie for dessert, which had the fluffiest crust that I've ever experienced on a pie. The only down part of the night was that our waitress seemed a bit rude and aloof. She was always in a rush, and on two separate occasions while we were ordering (first appetizers, then drinks), she power-walked away from the table after one person ordered, not waiting to see if anyone else had any orders. There were a handful of awkward instances like this, but all in all it didn't really put a damper on the night. The food, drinks, and ambiance greatly made up for it. I will definitely be returning!

First visit so can't give 5 out the gate. Although if i was only judging on the Biscuits this a 10 out of 5. These damn Biscuits good on a different level. I started not to order anything else. Someone in the party order fish and it didn't taste like good ole southern catfish. The chicken thigh biscuit was okay but the toppings were left off so might have been better. I had bacon, eggs and grits and that was solid.

Yall know I go out a LOT. From hole in the wall to white linen doesnt matter to me as long as the food and service pops I'm there. It takes a pretty on point spot for me to rave and that is what I am about to do! The place is Fixe, Ft Worth's Southern House over in the Shops at Clearfork. The original is in Austin of course. Anywho Fixe opened about 8 weeks ago and I am so dang happy about it. This place is perfect. Style wise its opulent but southern understated. Like it's really nice. A place you cant move the chairs they are so plush (leather high back... think cigar room). Anywho to the food... mercy. I would slap one of yall for one of the biscuits they make from scratch. Homemade butter, in house small batch hot sauce. Like come on. 🤤 We tried to try everything but alas we failed lol which means we HAVE to return. Get the biscuits, get the smoked trout dip, get the deviled eggs, get the snapper...just eat. They have catfish and friend chicken... GET THE FREAKING BISCUITS OKAY! BUTTER BABY! On to service. We were gifted to have Brittany as our server and she is amaze balls. Super funny, on point, she knows what you need. She brought my brother a birthday card! Just lovely. Heck I love anyone that brings me a hot towel. We will be back on Mothers Day for brunch. fixefortworthsouthernhouse Get your Fixe #FixeFtWorth

We thoroughly enjoy the biscuits with the three various sides to top them off. The blackened snapper was great and my husband loved the chicken but thought it could have been just a bit more moist. The Jack salad is great. We did order the peach cobbler but it wasn’t our cup of tea. Growing up in Texas, my favorite cobbler is made with the thin dough baked to a golden crisp. They use their biscuit dough for the cobbler and it has a more spongy consistency. Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding. Probably one of the best we’ve had and will definitely be requesting him upon our return.

We had a lovely time last night. The restaurant is beautiful. We had the fabulous biscuits with the yummy butter and honey. We enjoyed the fried catfish and deviled eggs as starters. Our group ordered the lobster crayfish pot pie, fried chicken and the halibut. No complaints, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Desserts were awesome too. Loved the warm towel to wash your hands with after the meal.

Fixe is a great place for HH. wonderful $8 apps and drink specials. We had devil eggs, blue crab fingers and southern fish and fries. Best French fries I have ever had and was pleased to find out from owner, Keith, they are not to loaded with sodium. I ordered ice tea and they brought this coffee pot looking devise which sat on top of a craft bottle and out came fresh brewed, wonderful 22 ounces of tea. Very cool. Our waitress did not tell us her name, which I never understand why, but she did a great job. GM Mike even came by to answer questions for private group dinners. This restaurant will servive clear fork and all the competitors.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, competent and professional management, delicious fare (biscuits are insane), fantastic cocktails/wine list and one of the best happy hours in Fort Worth. I guess you could say I like the place. Thanks to the great Mike and Keith et al, keep up the good work.

A little pricey for the amount food you get. You have to order each side separate, even with a steak. Food is excellent and service is great. When you put “Southern” in your name you need to bring good food at a good price.

We just left for the Sunday Father's Day Brunch! It was amazing! We started with the biscuits with boudin sausage gravy... yummy! I selected the Brioche French Toast paired with a BlackBerry Mimosa. Delicious! My husband had the shrimp and grits, so good and my son had the Hot Catfish and fries, it was a little spicier then he liked it but he said it had good flavor and was very crispy. I will be returning to try everything on the menu. Thanks Ray for such a great experience your service was awesome!

3 words: foie gras butter. It was uh-mazing with the brioche French toast. Biscuits are a must-try. The Mister has the fried chicken sandwich...if I didn’t eat the French toast, I would have gotten that.

Loved the atmosphere! Biscuits and deviled eggs were awesome. And their signature drink the Fixe 75 was delicious! My only suggestion would be that the broccoli was not quite cooked enough for my preference. Will definitely come back to try the pot pie!!
