Yall know I go out a LOT. From hole in the wall to white linen doesnt matter to me as long as the food and service pops I'm there. It takes a pretty on point spot for me to rave and that is what I am about to do! The place is Fixe, Ft Worth's Southern House over in the Shops at Clearfork. The original is in Austin of course. Anywho Fixe opened about 8 weeks ago and I am so dang happy about it. This place is perfect. Style wise its opulent but southern understated. Like it's really nice. A place you cant move the chairs they are so plush (leather high back... think cigar room). Anywho to the food... mercy. I would slap one of yall for one of the biscuits they make from scratch. Homemade butter, in house small batch hot sauce. Like come on. 🤤 We tried to try everything but alas we failed lol which means we HAVE to return. Get the biscuits, get the smoked trout dip, get the deviled eggs, get the snapper...just eat. They have catfish and friend chicken... GET THE FREAKING BISCUITS OKAY! BUTTER BABY!
On to service. We were gifted to have Brittany as our server and she is amaze balls. Super funny, on point, she knows what you need. She brought my brother a birthday card! Just lovely. Heck I love anyone that brings me a hot towel.
We will be back on Mothers Day for brunch.

We had a lovely time last night. The restaurant is beautiful. We had the fabulous biscuits with the yummy butter and honey. We enjoyed the fried catfish and deviled eggs as starters. Our group ordered the lobster crayfish pot pie, fried chicken and the halibut. No complaints, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Desserts were awesome too. Loved the warm towel to wash your hands with after the meal.
Went here a few weeks back for my Birthday Brunch! What an AMAZING experience! Definitely recommend to go for your Birthday..the gift they give is so thoughtful. We are going again for Brunch on NYE this weekend ⭐️ Definitely try the cinnamon roll BEST ONE I HAVE EVER HAD!
Everyone - bartender, wait staff, cooks, bartender (yes, two times for the bartender) - and everything was wonderful. Be sure to get a bit of sauerkraut in each bite when eating the deviled eggs (trust me). And the homemade biscuits are an absolute MUST. The owner really did an excellent job of creating a pleasurable atmosphere and dining experience.
The Happy Hour here is worth the try. This is my second time. The first time I had the fried fish that I highly recommend. If you want a good experience but for a decent price definitely try the happy hour and their limited happy hour menu. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a vibe. Dimly lit, spacious tables. The patio was good during the fall.
We had a fantastic time! Went for happy hour and the entire staff was amazing, especially our server (Brooks). Everything tasted great. The catfish and biscuits are a must! I also enjoyed the deviled eggs.
It’s a tough call but I’m going to give this place 4 stars. The food was really good but my only gripe is my soft boiled egg was overcooked. It didn’t take away from the flavor though. It was all tasty and the service was good. The atmosphere was also really nice and cute but they could get better exhaust fans to decrease the smoke inside the restaurant. It was a bit pricey for what you got. I ordered a brisket egg sandwich and for $18 it should have at least come with breakfast potatoes or fries. Their cinnamon roll was probably one of the best I’ve ever had though.
The food, service and ambiance are amazing! We ordered biscuits for the table and the house-made fruit preserves jam, butter and honey were delicious! We also ordered French toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes which all were great options. Oscar waited on us on a busy Sunday morning with lots of TCU families from Parent Weekend. The food took a little longer than expected, however, Oscar was extremely attentive and apologetic to the situation. This type of customer service you can’t find anymore! I will make this our go to spot for lunch and breakfast mainly for the quality customer service dining experience!
The food was to die for!!! Our server was Marcos and he was on his game! We will definitely come back because it was worth the drive from Cedar Hill. My only wish is that they would bring some of that brunch menu to the dinner menu.
Out of this world biscuits, and the boudin gravy is slap 👋 your grandma good! 😋
Our waiter. Trevor was amazing and had some wonderful recommendations.
The food was exceptionally good! Our server Patrick was great and very knowledgeable of the menu and added that he was a fan of the pork chops as well. I wish I had more to tip him. This now on my top 10 places to dine in
In my nearly 50years on this planet, travels to many places, I can tell you this was one of the greatest meals of all time. From the Biscuits to the grits, in house butter, portion sizes… exceptional well done James Robert.
