Absolutely outstanding from the bread to appetizers to entrees all top notch. We met some old friends here for dinner we were all impressed and left with full bellies. Great place great ambience great food great experience!
Our first experience at Waters and many more to come hopefully. This is our new favorite downtown restaurant in Fort Worth. We celebrated our anniversary here and went to the symphony after. Waters helped contribute in making a memorable evening as special as one could hope.
We visited for our anniversary. We ourdered a house salad and a lump crab and avocado salad, dirty rice, lobster macaroni, lobster and a 14 oz ribeye. All of the food was good except the dirty rice. The hostess Lydia was great. The waiter was ok. The restaraunt was overhyped by a hotel member where we stayed. For the price I would have preferred Del Frisco, Ruth Chris, or Eddie V's.
We LOVE LOVE The Waters Restaurant! We live downtown and support the local businesses! Our fave at Waters is the Happy Hour Martini, Margarita and Dirty Dozen! We enjoy trying the different oysters each week. So delish! As much as we love the food and drinks, the staff is amazing!! Kalvin, “Kalvin with a K” is the best. He remembers our names, faves, and little details of our lives!
Great service. Our water glasses never went under half way. Food was delicious.
We always have such a great time and experience when coming to dine here. We were served by Sophia this evening with the help from Kentt for some great wine options.
We came to try out this years Restaurant Week menu and we were not disappointed. There were three of us at the table, so we were able to divide and conquer the whole menu this year and get to try everything. The salads, soup, and fish dishes.
The espresso cream Brule dish was really outstanding and it really put the sponge cake into the shadows for the sweet part of the menu.
Never a bad meal or service at Waters Texas!
This was our first time here and we had high expectations. When we arrived for our 5:45 reservations we realized quickly that the restaurant was too cold for an enjoyable meal. We opted to sitting on the patio whose ambiance was more questionable. Our concerns were quickly put to rest as we started ordering (oysters followed by a salad and the entrees). The food was amazing. Definitely prepared with quality in mind My wife's scallops took the prize. Anyway we would definitely return and the temperature in the lobby was better when we walked back through it otw out.
If you're a seafood lover, Waters Restaurant is an absolute catch in Fort Worth. Dive in and savor the flavors of the ocean!
Wow. Absolutely top notch. From the service, to the atmosphere to the food...absolutely wonderful. Our server was fantastic. She made wonderful suggestions, answered all of my many questions and improved our overall dining experience. We started off with crab cakes which were delicious. Excellent dear on the top, but not too much. My wife ordered the pan seared halibut with sweet potato gnocchi and I had the char. Both were superb. When you go(and you should) make sure to get some of Nana’s lemon icebox cheesecake. It might honestly be the best cheesecake I have ever had. Ever.
My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. This was our second time here, and it was still as fabulous as I remembered. We chose to sit outside this time, and it was an amazing atmosphere at night; not too hot or cold. The tables are spread far enough apart for an intimate setting. The service was its usual high standard; no surprises there. However, as always, it's about the food, delicious. We started with the Calamari. It was perfectly seasoned and actually crisp without being overcooked. I also started with the Tomato and Fried Goat Cheese Salad. Wife didn't feel courageous, but I liked it. The cheese did have a bit of a gamey taste, but the roasted red pepper vinaigrette balanced it nicely. For the mains, my wife had the Crab Cakes, and they didn't disappoint. They were a decent size with plenty of juicy crab. The cakes were firm and not mushy. She paired it with the Crispy Fries. I loooove fries, you've got to try these. First off, they came out streaming. True fry lovers will get that. Secondly, they didn't need salt or pepper. Whoever the chef was, knew what they were doing; crunchy exterior but soft interior. Two tumbs up. I had the Blackened Scallops. They were seared to a perfect medium. The seasoning wasn't overpowering, but just enough heat not to ruin tasting the actual Scallops. I paired my dish with the old fashioned Haricots Verts. For dessert, we tapped off the night with the Brownie a la mode. It was really good without causing toothaches. It is a fine dining restaurant, but feel free to relax in jeans and a Tshirt. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.
