Review Cattlemen's Fort Worth Steak House - Fort Worth

Great steakhouse in Fort Worth. Make sure to have a reservation. Great old western vibes inside. We ordered the Ribeye and KC strip. Both were excellent. The baked potato that comes with the meals are huge and make sure you like them heavily seasoned. The topping stand that comes with it is a nice touch. The rolls that they start you with are excellent. Will be back on my next trip to the area.

First time here. Had pleasant experience. Husband liked his chicken fried steak. My filet was cooked perfectly as requested. Add on shrimps were flavorful. While we'd love to explore other steakhouse options within the Stockyards, Cattlemen was definitely a great restaurant to revisit. Highly recommend.

We went for dinner around 8:30 on Saturday night during Labor Day weekend. Surprisingly, we were greeted and seated immediately in a very busy restaurant. The table service was prompt, professional and attentive. The 11oz ribeye steak was to die for!! Perfectly cooked to medium and seasoned exquisitely. No need for any sauce for sure. The house salad was fresh and crisp with a delicious house dressing. The potato was huge! More than enough for two people with options for cheese, bacon, and chives served table side. My husband and I shared the 11oz steak and potato and both had a side salad and couldn’t finish the one meal between us. 10/10 recommend for an amazing steak!

My son and I enjoyed a couple of steaks here -- top flight experience.  I saw a pic of a tomahawk chop in one of the reviews but did not see it on the menu.  Asked the waitress if they offered it and they said they did depending on availability -- it's not on the menu for that reason.  You have to ask for it.  It's not cheap but my god is it worth it.  Absolutely fantastic.  Overall wonderful and authentic experience.  Recommend, will go back.

We stopped in for dinner and ate in the bar. The atmosphere is incredible, and the stake was very tasty. Unfortunately, the server was busy and forgot a couple of things, and I didn't check in to ask. I only add this info for constructive feedback. We will definitely be back.

Not sure why the bad reviews. If youre thinking about going, go! We were not disappointed. We ordered the new york strip with a potato and salad and the whole meal was flavorful and delicious!! The steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was amazing, atmosphere chill and they even gave us dessert for our anniversary. 10/10!!

Great options to choose from on lunch menu. I ordered the 10 oz Ribeye with the loaded baked potato soup and macaroni & cheese. Everything came out delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly to my desired temperature and seasoned well. Tender and flavorful. The macaroni and cheese was a little "soupy" for my liking but I liked the sharp cheddar taste. Would recommend going will in the Stockyard area.

The location in Fort Worth is excellent and the history runs deep at this restaurant. The atmosphere is dated, but we loved it and the steak and chicken was delicious! The condiment server that came with the baked potato was nice bonus. We had our service animal with us and no one made us feel uncomfortable. She just sat in the corner out of the way.

Excellent food & service. We began with hot rolls! Incredibly light & fluffy yeast rolls! Amazing!! We got the 16 oz. 28-day aged New York strip with a baked potato (large) and spilt it between the two of us. We each had a house salad. I had ranch dressing. Hubby ordered thousand island. Incredible flavor! I recommend making reservations in advance or check in as a walk-in guest well in advance of your desired dining time. They're busy!

This was a casual establishment. Average, this the 3 stars on atmosphere. Service was great, everyone was nice and courteous. My husband ordered a 14oz steak. He really enjoyed it. I had a bite, it was very tender. I didn't really like the sauce that came with the steak. I ordered the chicken salad with fried chicken. The salad was large. It had secret butterchip pickles on the bottom. That was a pleasant surprise. The chicken itself was bland to me. I had ranch dressing and it did a great job of adding flavor to the chicken. The best part were the rolls. They were made in-house. They were so soft and delicious. I had to hold back so that I could have room for my meal. I would recommend this restaurant. My husband wants to go back tomorrow for the T-bone.

Enjoyed every minute. I’ve eaten steak all over the world, and even the most prestigious places didn’t beat the quality of this humble but brilliant location.

First time visiting and really enjoyed it! Location is a little dated and it seemed under construction, but don’t let it fool you! I personally tried the grilled Chicken, and subbed my side for broccoli. It was cooked perfectly! Our server was wonderful, professional, and knowledgeable. Prices were decent. Average price for a steak was 55 and other plates were 20+. As you can see we had a large group and they treated us with so much patience. I can see why my brother really recommended this place! I hope to visit again when I’m back in TX!

We loved our experience and will definitely be back! The food was delicious and fresh. We went on Saturday so I highly recommend getting a reservation and you will probably wait a few minutes as they are always packed but don’t let that stop you from eating some great food!

Excellent food and service! Great place to bring out of town guests while visiting the stockyards. The food was delicious especially the baked potato with all the fixings. We also liked the rattlesnake bites that had a different flavor sauce we really enjoyed. Our server Pablo was so helpful. He explained the difference in temperature (pink some pink no pink etc) which I really appreciate because I don’t order steak often and it wasn’t described in the menus. Because of his help everyone at our table got exactly what they wanted and were super happy. We will definitely be back soon!

Had the big boy for 2, unbelievable piece of meat. Our waitress was wonderful, watched the Cook fire up our steak on his grill. Well worth the trip for a fantastic meal!!

Made a road trip here from San Antonio, well worth the trip! My fiance and I started with a cup of loaded baked potato soup very flavorfull and not too salty. The shoot'em up shrimp with sauce were hot, crispy and delicious. Our entrees of the Trail Boss steak cooked to perfection. Whole mushrooms soaked in wine sauce did not disappoint, Horseradish mashed potatoes, spinach, crisp cold lettuce salad with the house dressing & homemade croutons, delicious. We had to take our Key Lime pie to go...for our midnight snack...sooooo creamy and flavorful. We admired the murials on the walls that were hand painted, of the Old western days, to be informed by the manager that they would be removed and the place was going to be renovated, for 2 city slickers this was heartbreaking to think the history was going to be modernized....

Cattlemen’s is the pinnacle of an old classic Texas steak house. Prime choice of the freshest meat that is displayed in a freezer box in front of you. No need to put any sauces on the steak because it is so naturally tasty that your mouth will water while eating. Salad with ranch dressing and a loaded baked potato rounds out the classic Texas steak meal. And don’t forget the giant cow photographs all over the restaurant. For me this is the best steak experience in Texas.
