Best HOME COOKING Dinner in the Tarrant County area. Food is excellent! Waite Staff is fast/polite/friendly. My favorite place to eat lunch. And MGT is always on the floor helping out not directing!
Great diner with great service and prices. Freshly made, and the menu says they have various specials that are available until they run out. Also best to leave room for desert, as they have some great choices. Oh and the tea or sweet tea is fresh brewed and they are always there making sure you never run out.
There was a line, it took less than five minutes for us to get a booth. Service was quick and quite attentive. Food was quite good and very reasonable. We'll go back.
Perfect family place!. We took our young kids and everyone was really sweet to them. The food was fantastic and the price was great for a family of 5! A must visit while in Ft. Worth!!! :)

Respectable and Honorable. The first thing you notice when you enter this nifty little cafe is the foyer where dozens of photographs of those who served in the military are hanging. There are some real interesting ones including "The Last Code Talker. Lots of photographic memorabilia. I posted a few of them.
Continuing on, I was taken to a table in the back room. The cafe is quite large, not even including the counter area where you can sit if you choose. The back room is fine just the same. There is much more memorabilia back here too. From what I could tell it was mostly Air Force, and other military aviation photographs. I could look at this stuff all day.
I was here for breakfast and while there aren't a lot of choices, there were enough popular options that I had no difficulty ordering what I wanted. This time it was the Western Omelet. This came with toast or biscuit and gravy. I got the biscuit sans gravy. It arrived quickly on a dessert/salad plate. Veggies were cooked nicely within, and it was loaded with real cheese, not Velveeta. This came with neither hash browns nor any other sides. I guess that was fine. I was satisfied. Your mileage may vary.
My food was brought promptly, and refills of my tea were constant even while I was getting ready to leave. My server was so nice to me. Many people were sitting around chatting after their meal. It's that kind of comfortable, friendly place.
I've driven by here so many times in the past without stopping because it always looks packed. It is, but don't let that dissuade you from going in. There is always room for one more!
Great Diner. If you like diner food and are tired of places like Waffle House, Denny's and IHOP, then visit West Side. There's enough stuff on the menu to keep you interested for a long time. My parents eat here every week. The staff is friendly, the food is good and the prices are cheap. Great for breakfast and lunch.
This place is great. Even when it's crowded, they seat you quickly and the food is extremely tasty and inexpensive. The wait staff is courteous and helpful.

Good, not great. I've been to West Side Cafe a few times, meeting up with my parents for either breakfast or dinner. I haven't had anything that was "bad." In my opinion, everything I've had (desserts included) were all "good." But, nothing stands out in my mind as being "great" either. Good food. Good prices. I won't avoid this place, but it never seems to pop into my mind when I'm hungry and I'm thinking of somewhere to go eat, either..
First let me talk about “Kameron”! He is absolutely the BEST server, I have had in a long time! His personality is so bubbly, and welcoming, yet warm and charming. Now to the food. The menu consist of a country style type of meals, -Southern Comfort Food, and I’m pleased to say, it still tastes good and pleasing to the tummy, even after Covid. I HIGHLY recommend eating here❗️ The only con I have, is that the restaurant does need remolding. It’s an older building, and it’s definitely time.

Heard about this place before and wish I had come here sooner. The food was good, the service was amazingly excellent. We came here for a late lunch and it was packed! Will definitely get back to try their dessert, chicken fried steak, liver and meatloaf as recommended.

Best home cooking country style food in town! Hands Down! I've never given a 5 🌟 review all the down the chart BUT the restaurant and the staff truly deserve it. Chicken Fried steak is to die for❤️ & the flavor of the mozzarella sticks is amazing. I recommend if you have not tried this place, get out here to Camp Bowie W in Fort Worth and give them a try. Worth every $ spent. Don't leave without trying the delicious desserts. There are plenty of different pies to try from. Sorry about the picture, we were too busy indulging in the taste that I forgot to post before eating.😋
This place runs like a well oiled and very happy machine. All the staff seem to love working together and love their jobs. The positive energy there is contagious. Can't say enough good things about them all, especially Maria. She has been there 22 years and loves what she does, and all the customers. I actually hugged her when I left because I was not having a great day, but just her caring and happy attitude made my day better. Thanks to the great people at West Side Cafe for the great service to all your customers.
We are pretty new to the area and looked up a place that was said to be good for breakfast. West Side Cafe came up and we decided to give it a try.
In a word - Excellent!!!
The food is terrific. The service is great. The atmosphere is beyond comfortable. This is a standard country diner, and it makes you feel welcome and satisfied from the moment you enter.
The breakfast choices we delicious-from biscuits and gravy, to pancakes, and great piping hot coffee.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience, and are already making plans to see how their dinner selections delight the tummy.
We highly recommend West Side Cafe on Camp Bowie Blvd. it’s wonderful.
This place came highly recommended and it was packed. I will say this is some of the best breakfast food I’ve had. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor. Highly recommend the country fried steak, and their hash browns. The staff was so polite and kind. I honestly can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place sooner and tried it sooner than I did.
The location of West Side Cafe couldn't be better. It's conveniently accessible and makes for a great spot to meet up with friends or enjoy a leisurely meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this cafe is worth a visit.
It's a dinner , and great dinner to go to . Good food and the bathroom was remodeled and new flooring . But bottom line great service good food and plenty of it. Prices are decent. If you were in the military or still are go. If you like planes they have pictures of different planes all over. The place is packed with people for a reason ( good food & service)
Feeling the Fort Worth today. Lunch time finds me at West Side Café. If the parking lot's packed, worry not. Plenty of seating is available. (Mobile phone just rang in the booth behind me. Ringtone: US Marine hymn.)
Enjoying liver, onions, brown gravy, okra, and squash casserole. The coffee is so fresh and there may be dessert. When I want down-home cookin' , this is my go-to. Authentic as it gets. There are no Yankee vegetables as sides, but you'd adapt;
...and for dessert, banana puddin' with more coffee.
We have been coming to West End since we moved here. It has a homestyle feel that we miss so much coming from our hometown. The service is fantastic, the food is good, the atmosphere is awesome, and you’re treated like family when you come in. I haven’t written a google review until now because I saw something that surprised me in the best of ways. A family came in that didn’t speak English what so ever. They moved around their entire seating chart to accommodate them and have a Spanish speaking server take care of them. The family was so thankful and they were made to feel welcome. To me, this is above and beyond. This deserves a 5 star review.
