The Rusty Spur

This is a great place, and I highly recommend it. They allow smoking inside, which I won't say is inherently good or bad just something to be aware of. Their drinks are fairly priced normally, and they have great specials. The bull is fun and entertaining to watch, it is a very unique aspect of the bar. They have pay to play pool tables. They have a fair sized dance floor. Sometimes they set up cornhole in the dance area. It can get loud once crowded, but the area near the pool tables is usually just a tad more quiet and more conducive to conversation. It is a country bar, but there is a jukebox where anyone can play whatever music they'd like and many different genres are played (as long as a band is not performing).

The staff was very sweet, easy to talk with. We went on quarter long neck night so there was a live DJ and a cover, it was worth it. They have pool tables, dart boards, a mechanical bull, a dance floor, and a couple places to order drinks from in different areas. All in all I had a great time even though I was the designated driver.

There were plenty of bars in the room and the interior was pretty nice. The bar tender took her sweet time, however. Including asking for our IDs then as we sat them on the counter and waited for her to check them, proceeded to make us wait for her to check her phone and reply to some texts. Not the greatest service. Drinks weren't very strong.

This place has potential. The live music was great. The mechanical bull was thoroughly entertaining. Very spacious inside, but it just doesn't draw a big crowd. Here's the biggest drawback for me - they allow smoking inside, and boy do most of the patrons take full advantage of it. As nonsmokers, it's like bathing in an ashtray.

Great place to see live bands on Fri and Sat, they have everything from country music, classic rock, modern rock and some dance music. The pizza is excellent and they also have a nice selection of sandwiches. The prices for drinks are reasonable and the drinks are mixed just right. The place usually gets packed on band nights so get there early.

I want to like it more than I do. It offers tons of space, great music, mechanical bull, multiple bars, quarter beer nights, line dancing, and tons more. I’ve been on a couple different nights and never enjoyed myself as much as I expected. The indoor smoking bothers me, the crowd is never what I expect, and I always end up staying with whoever I came with the whole time.
