Food is great. I mean VERY good. Cool old bar ambience. Just don't go there if you're in a hurry. It may be 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledges that you're there...then wait another 20 minutes before your salad arrives. What's on the menu does not necessarily dictate what's available. More often than not a lot of the menu items are just not in production on any given evening. Yet we still go back for the food .
I love this place! Quiet, quaint, and excellent food. Genuinely friendly staff, family owned. It is a bar, so nobody under 21 allowed, and they only take cash, so be prepared, but this little place is definitely Fort Wayne's best kept secret!
Huge amount of food for a great price. They no longer sell alcohol, but the place is still great. They dont take credit cards, all cash sales. Brought back a lot of childhood memories. Havent seen Durnell's in 30 + years.
Great local restaurant! Good food with large portions! Wait staff makes you feel welcome! Check hours of operation before driving there because hours are a bit odd.
The food is great and you get what you pay for. Owners and waitresses are very friendly. I will be eating there again soon
My grandfather Joe Durnell said his brother started this Restaurant. Hopefully I can visit and meet family members from long ago ❤
