Acme Bar

Friday night, I had dinner at Acme. I had the fish sandwich and cup of chili. Mom had the tenderloin with fries. Both meals were hot and appeared to be pretty good, but we're just kind of middle of the road. We both decided that neither sandwich was worthwhile to order again. The fries were solid and the chili was pretty good. My favorite thing to order there is the deluxe pizza, but I wanted to try something different.

This is a great go-to place for hearty comfort food. The drinks are always good, but could be better. The service is sometimes slow, but the food is really tasty. Pizzas are square cut, which makes them perfect for sharing. My personal favorite is the grinder. Tuesdays are Italian specials. Get the garlic cheese bombs. For lighter choices, the dinner salads are fantastic.

Decided to eat someplace we had overlooked for a while! It was a Tuesday night and ACME didn't disappoint! Italian special was a seven-layer calabrese lasagna that was delicious! Atmosphere was casual and we were seated with no wait! Masks were in place on the wait staff and required if your not seated. The service was great cups filled multiple check ups on the table in case we needed anything! That alone placed ACME in to our will be back column! Edit: we are glad we're got to dine here it was great sadly thai seem to have closed their doors in the wake of Covid-19 we will miss it and hopefully maybe in the future see them open again

Honestly, after ordering a 14" 4 topping.. I was hoping it would actually have the toppings. The pizza tasted good, but it costs so much extra for toppings, I was expecting more. Also, the pizza wasn't cut all the way through so when we all went for our pieces it ripped apart wrong. This won't keep me from eating at Acme..but it wasn't a 5 star tonight.

Never Again Will I go there! This is actually a zero star review. I have had some horrible restaurant experiences, and this one is right up there at the top. It wasn't very busy in there when we arrived at a quarter after 6 o'clock, and got seated right away. Alright off to a good start, but then the took a sharp dive from there. First off we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, not alcoholic drinks by the way just a few pepsis and a chocolate milk. Then we were in for a marathon wait for our food. And let me tell you nothing will fill you full of impending dread like a hungry 6 year old waiting over an hour for his food. Yep, that's right we waited over an hour from the time I even started to notice the time until our food somewhat arrived at our table. I say "somewhat" arrived cause my chicken wings came but not the fries? My daughter's do called "gourmet" mac and cheese came minus her fries, my sons grilled cheese came with out his apple sauce that never showed up cause no one bothered to tell us they were out of apple sauce, and my wife's fish still missing in action. It took another 5 minutes for my wife to receive her fish, but then it took an additional 10 minutes for our fries to show up. Apparently fries are very technical, and require special attention to cook? Now maybe you're thinking maybe the food was worth the insane wait time? Well unfortunately you would be wrong. First off the alleged gourmet mac and cheese was nothing more than a bowl of spiral noodles with some store bought cheese sauce poured on top. My mild wings were not only cold and extremely dry but either they put the wrong sauce on them, or they are the home of the worlds hottest mild wings? My son's grilled cheese was somehow burnt and also at the same time cold. And of you was wondering my wife's fish was cold and stale as well. We all ate about a good five bites out of sheer starvation and then called it quits. The waiter knew we was not happy and after we explained our grievances to him said he would get the manager over to us to explain why we got treated so horribly. Well surprise surprise the manager also took a good 15 minutes to show up. She also had no explanation for why we got treated so badly. She basically acted like this was the status quo here and said she would give us a discount. At this point I just wanted to pay my bill and get on with my life. And you'll never guess but it took them forever and a day to ring up our bill. I usually don't take the time to write scathing reviews like this and most of my reviews are really positive, but with great disservice comes great scathing reviews. They will not get another dime from me, and even if someone offered to take me there and pay for it I would talk them into going anywhere else as to not cost me two hours out of my life ever again!

Visited Acme Bar for the first time tonight and had their deluxe Pizza. Christina behind the bar was amazing and service was super fast. The pizza was fantastic. Had a good number of beer on tap and overall it was an enjoyable experience. I recommend you give them a shout out have a beer and try some of the pizza.
