Lucy's Diner is a really cute little place. But there's so much to be improved upon. Aside from a couple of employees there, it seems the majority of the staff doesn't care whether they cook great food or serve it professionally. There is no consistency. Late night is the worst. You're likely to get the best food and service on first shift. The floor manager is a great lady.

A great vintage diner with that wonderful 50's flair, friendly staff and great home cooking! Fair prices and lots of good food. Wide selection of meal choices and desserts.

The waitress was friendly & attentive. My breakfast special was greasy. I ordered over medium eggs & they were hard. Just a bad experience. The worst part was when we went to sit down there was a customer that was making racial comments "if you're not white you're not right" and "There's no place for black," and other racial comments and the waitress was standing there laughing. Just for the record ; My husband is Native American !! I will NEVER spend another dime in this establishment. I went into Lucy's today (May 31) I spoke with the manager & the person in charge of the kitchen about our experience on the 29th. They both apologized profusely, and honestly cared about our issue we had there. They reimbursed me for our meals and asked if we would give them another chance. I said we would. They also assured me the employees would be dealt with accordingly. It's great to know people still care about each other. It's sad that this type of behavior still goes on in 2018.

We used to frequent Lucy's a lot....but it has gone down hill! We tried it 3 times this month (6/2018) and it has only gotten worse. Meatloaf sizes have gotten smaller and smaller each time. They are out of half of their menu. The fried okra was so salty my husband couldn't eat his and it was clumpy with breading or none at all. The rolls have been hard and stale. Today they were softer but very yeasty tasting. The meatloaf was not even warm. It took over 40 minutes to get our food (during our lunch hour). They don't use a cash register...the manager kept running out to her car to get change. We will not be back. We gave them 3 chancing thinking it might be a bad day. Waitress was nice and apologized. She told manager about food but she never even apologized. A "customer" at the bar got up and helped themselves to ice and sodas. One time we ordered breakfast and the hashbrowns were greasy and half cooked.

Our waitress, Olivia, was outstanding. The food (that was available, which honestly was not a lot) was good. There was very generous portions. This place could be fantastic. With a lot of cleaning and decent management, this place would rock. The brightest star shining in this place was definitely our waitress.

The waitress was nice but other than that this was a terrible experience. Bad enough that this is the first time I’ve ever given anything a negative rating. We asked for a kids menu & they said they were in the middle of a menu change but asked what we wanted- like we were to guess what was on it? We asked for chicken strips & places the rest of our order. The waitress comes back and says “the chicken is frozen & it takes too long to thaw” ooookay. When our food came out it was SO GREASY. My husband had a napkin under his burger to catch it all & it completely saturated two napkins with a puddle of grease. I had to ask for refills anytime we got them. Then when we went to pay- the bill was $21.48 I handed her $21.50 she didn’t punch it into the register just looked at me and said “sorry we have no change at all” ... since it was 2 pennies I just told her to keep it & then asked for change for a 10 to leave a tip... she said again “I just came on shift and we have no change at all” what would have happened if I only had 2- $20’s to pay with??? This was just bad all around. We won’t be back.

I only gave 1 star because i could not give them a 0.. We went to breakfast this morning and the food was just terrible. The pancakes were thin and chewy and not fluffy in anyway. The bacon was way, way, way to over cooked the sausage was smashed to the thinness of a dollar bill. The hash browns were greasy and smooshy. The biscuits were so hard we could have broken a window if we would have thrown them. The ketchup squeeze bottle was nasty and covered with finger prints, The syrup bottle was covered in syrup and my booth seat was covered in sticky wash rag water. The eggs were ok. Our waitress was pleasant but the other waitress working with her used the restroom and did not wash her hands then went out front to counter and proceeded to run / rub her hands all over the counter. ( I know she did not wash them because when she came out I went in to wash mine and the sink was dry. ) I should have known to leave when we got there by the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant beside some old dude sitting at the counter.
