The best food on the Beach I think! If you like seafood this is the place to go! The service was fantastic and the food exquisite! Make a reservation and maybe we’ll meet you there! The wait staff is to rave about.
As always, the best meals, the best view, and we got along with our waiter great, making it even more fun!! It was our Fathers Day Meal and he had the best advice on the food and my wine. Loved the White Wine blend, went well with the Duck. Looking forward to our return.
12/15: We come to Ft. Myers Beach every year in December and we always try find a new place to add to our rotation. This year we discovered Fresh Catch and it was just down the road from our condo. It's a nice, upscale, second floor dining room with lots of tables and a nice bar, all overlooking the ocean. The emphasis is obviously on seafood and it was marvelous! We tried a good variety of dishes (see photos) and we found the presentation to be creative and beautiful and the flavors were terrific. We will definitely be back.
We had an awesome calamari, followed by 2 entrees (Island Mahi Mahi & Mediterannean Shrimp). Both dishes were fresh with large portions & yummy rissotto on the side.
We finished up with a mediocre key lime pie but most excellent, light, lemon chiffon cake with marscapone & fresh berries.
So yummy and gorgeous view! Went for my birthday dinner and they even give complimentary dessert that was pretty good. The bartenders were very welcoming and friendly as we waited for our table.
Food and view were superb, but service was sloppy (spilled water and oil all over the table and almost on several members in our party) and made us feel like second class for requesting free tap water (her words) rather than overpriced bottled tap water (my words). We ordered 4 of the Chef Favorites (Salmon Oscar, Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna, Miso Teriyaki Sea Bass, and Shrimp Mediterranean) and they were all delicious. We also ordered the Escargot Bourguignonne, which is something I wouldn't order again - all you could taste was butter and garlic. The waitress was friendly enough but left a lot to be desired and the manager (or some official-looking employee) hovered right by our table on the patio through the whole meal - awkward. The view on the patio overlooking the ocean is amazing.
I would definitely return to this restaurant but I would skip the escargot, make a reservation to sit by the railing on the patio, and cross my fingers for a better server.
Amazing! Great atmosphere and great food. We had the pecan encrusted grouper and teriyaki sea bass! If looking for great sea food in the area it's a must stop!!
My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Fresh Catch Bistro. I had the shrimp Mediterranean which was better with every bite and she had Salmon Oscar. We were very satisfied with both meals, very flavourful and everything was cooked perfectly. The waitress wasn't the best, but the rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating. Be sure to make a reservation during high season and if you are lucky you can take in a sunset with an incredible meal on Thier outdoor patio. Would definitely recommend and return.
Absolutely Top Notch!. Beginning with our greeting from the staff, this was an amazing dining experience! Danny was our waiter. He was very personable and attentive. The drinks were amazing, as were the appetizers and main entrees. My daughter and I had the shrimp with citrus sauce, my husband had the MahiMahi House Special and my son-in-law had the Salmon with lemon butter sauce. We all raved about our dishes. We don't usually have dessert, but tonight we did. We split the Key Lime pie between four of us...and we even left the last few bites. Amazing and highly recommended! Danny was quality....like a NYC waiter!
Our server Gina was the best! Extremely sweet and pays close attention to all your needs! The food was amaaaazing! I had the crab stuffed mushrooms topped w shrimp. Wow that was great! I had the lobster stuffed w crab and was once again, amazing. My bf got the bacon wrapped scallops and loved them along with the surf n turf which he devoured! We're not over 60 and have perfectly intact taste buds and loved all of the food. I would recommend although I will advise that the prices are sometimes too steep for the amount of food you get. Keep in mind though that most upscale restaurants keep portion sizes small in order to keep great quality... Which everything most definitely was!

Main course options are extensive with price points for all budgets.

No Complaints. Went to this restaurant on the recommendation from friends. We were not disappointed. We were a large table and so I got to try lots of different dishes. My wife's pecan and cranberry crusted grouper was probably my favorite. My cioppino was a close second. My daughter ordered the Carribean Jerk shrimp. This was very good by not for the faint of heart. There was a lot of flavor and some pretty good heat. On top of good food the wait staff was great. We were a wedding party that wasn't real stuffy. They joined in with friendly banter and even let us poke fun at them and managed to get in a few zingers of their own. The best thing is they gave direct answers to our questions. When asked to offer an opinion between two dishes they gave direct answers not the normal wishy washy junk you usually get. Their recommendations panned out. We don't mind paying the price for good food and didn't even flinch when the check came. If you are in the mood for a great meal I would highly recommend stopping in.
Love Fresh Catch and definitely recommend if you are looking for something nicer but by no means pretentious. I wore flip flops and felt right at home. The new location is great. The food was so good. The fish were fresh. We shared a salad as an appetizer and it was great. Service was okay, nothing terrible but the server was always in a rush so that wasn’t great. Didn’t ruin the meal so I’d give them the benefit of the doubt.
We loved Fresh Catch on the beach but the new location is equally gorgeous. The hostess greeted us immediately and confirmed we were celebrating an anniversary. Our waitress was so kind, food was so delicious and dessert was fabulous. You need to put this on your must go list! We will be returning many times! Prices are good for an upscale setting. Can’t say enough positive about Fresh Catch!!
Brought my mom here to celebrate her birthday. The food and drinks were delicious. Atmosphere was nice our table had a great view. We will be back.
We had been to Bayfront Bistro, Fresh Catch’s predecessor many times and loved it. Fresh Catch fills those shoes well! Delicious food, great service (Erin), and wonderful atmosphere - both the restaurant which has a great decor and the scenery overlooking the bay. The filet was perfectly done (could cut it with spoon) as well as the grilled scallops and the chocolate cake for desert. Throw in a nice glass of wine and a well made Manhattan and you couldn’t ask for more. Well worth the money, you should go!

Party of 4 one order charred octopus was amazing! For starters we were impressed! But thinking our orders were waiting on hold as the waitress kept coming by checking in. Next up. I ordered the crispy duck, over done but thought o would give a try. When she came by asking how things were my potatoes were cold( really everything) right away I got a fresh mash piping hot. I really should have sent everything back.
Other party had grouper and shrimp said was good. But my husband said really not tasting that fresh and tasted reheated.
Over all think we would pass on the apps and just order dinner don’t wait!

Our favorite place on the beach! We have been going to the old Fresh Catch location every spring break for years and never been disappointed. Their move to the new building was a great decision, lost the sunset, but more seating and still a great water view. Our server MaryAnn was amazing and Chris was a great bartender for after dinner martinis. Same great food and service, just a new location. Will definitely be back!
Birthday dinner was excellent. My scallops were perfect and my husbands seabass was wonderful.
Had an anniversary dinner here recently. I brought cards from past special occasions and asked the host if they could get me a larger table for 2 so they could be placed on the table. They didn't hesitate to oblige and they did an excellent job! Even gave us a table with the most amazing view
I cannot say enough about Fresh Catch Bistro!!! I work with Neal for months planning the perfect wedding reception for our daughter. He made it so easy and helped with every detail. It was set up so beautiful out on the patio with a gorgeous view of the water. Food was outstanding and our family and friends are still raving about it. I want to thank the amazing staff for being the absolute best!! Tommy, Mary Ann, Hallie and Lexi thank you so much for all that you did!!! I highly recommend the Fresh Catch Bistro!!!! I can’t wait to go back.
Came here prior to the hurricane for an anniversary dinner. Lovely ocean view and an amazing menu selection. Delicious food and attentive service.
