478 Country Buffet

Just to begin with, the restaurant is beautiful and the waitresses are really friendly and attentive. It has a cozy and warm feel to it, and everything was very clean and extremely wel maintained. The food is some of the best home cooking, and everything on the salad bar is really fresh (and this was during a visit where the restaurant was really slow so, honestly, kudos to the staff). This is one of the best places in Forsyth to eat at an amazing price, and I know where my new stop off I-75 will be!!!

Think place does not even deserve one star! If I could rate it lower I would. The first clue I ignored was on the door telling customer's "to see a cashier before you prepare your plate". The register is right there as you walk in, so we paid for our meals, $10.69 each. Then went to the food bar....OMG..... My next instinct was to go back to the register and get my money back! But, we didn't, the food (all of it) looked as though it was left over from lunch! Two dried out pieces of chicken left, we ask if more was coming they said yes 7 min. We fixed a limited plate of sausage and a vegetable and waited, 10 min later still no chicken, the sausage had a very peculiar taste, and the vegetables were not great either, we left and went to Shoneys! NEVER AGAIN will we go to this place!

I would like to say it's great but its "JUST NOT". Unless you get there when they first open. We live near by. I was really excited to see a "All You Can Eat Buffet" come to Forsyth. We have been several times and were very disappointed. The food was either over or under cooked. Sometimes cold and dried out. After seeing sign saying under management I thought ok let's give it another try. Looks to be the same ppl and manager! I was handed a menu that I was told would be what was on the Hot Bar and salad bar each day. Well let's just say it was missing several items for the Saturday menu. The hours open are not very good for the working and busy family. Closes at 8 pm thru the week and 4 on Sunday...really? My thoughts are if they don't make some big changes it will not survive in our Small Town Family Town!

Nothing posted on the doors and at the register about not serving in the restaurant past 7:30, even though they close at 8pm. Arrived at 7:29pm, and with a rude look at the clock by, who I assume was, the manager. We were told we would not be seated because it was take out only, even though there were 3 other dining parties in the restaurant. Good luck to you, we won't give it another try.
