I'm a little conflicted about this place. The atmosphere is lovely and has a cool, rustic Italian vibe for sure. Multiple areas available for seating, which was nice. The food was good. Steaks were seasoned and cooked well. My pasta dish was very watery but still tasty and fresh. The Tiramisu was an interesting interpretation yet tasty and unique. The issue was with the staff. Lots of loud passive-aggressive exchanges between pretty much all servers. Almost zero team work without catty bickering. Lots of yelling at staff by owner, lol. It was funny and sometimes uncomfortable, especially when you know they are complaining about your tables order. They need Gordan Ramsey to come in and get things in order 🙂.

Met son Devin and grandsons Alex and Will for lunch at an Italian restaurant in Forestville (about 20 miles west of Santa Rosa). It turned out to be very good. CANNETI - ROADHOUSE ITALIANA I had an excellent duck soup and “Farro Tagliatelle with Vineyard Wild Boar Bolognese and Pecorino” We asked where the “wild boar” came from and to our surprise it is from the Russian River Valley (the wine growing region of Sonoma County that starts at Lake Sonoma near Gyserville, runs south to just above Santa Rosa and then turns west, going through Guerneville to the coast at Jenner). Well, are there really wild boar in Sonoma county? “What is the difference between a wild boar and a feral hog?” The right answer is, “Very little.” The real Eurasian Pig, often called a “Russian Boar,” is the original hog. It was from these wild lines that pigs were domesticated some 10,000 years ago.” However, even if you start with domesticated pig “After only a generation or two in the wild, domestic hogs regain many traits of their ancestors including longer hair and protruding tusks. This is why it is possible to see wild boar in North America in nearly any color and spot pattern common to domestic hogs as well as animals that look very “Russian.” The true Eurasian Wild Boar has longer straight hair and is uniformly colored in dark brown trending toward black.” (outdoordream “dot” org/kb/wild-boars-feral-pigs) Anyway, it was quite good and reminded me of the wild boar that I have eaten in Poland and the Czech Republic (which has a markedly different flavor from roast pork).

This is a fine example of California dining with an authentic Tuscan inspiration! Exciting was exceptional. The food was inspired, the wine list is exciting, and every dessert we’ve seen come by makes you wish this meal would never end!

My husband and I needed a new restaurant for date night and love Italian food! We struck gold stumbling upon this restaurant. Modest from the outside, but amazing atmosphere inside, and delicious food, wonderful service and most genuine chef and owner! Also, great selection of wine and collection of Italian motorcycles. Such a fun and eclectic place to dine, with a menu you’ll want to revisit again and again!! Kandi Cogliandro Realtor

WOW! What a delightful dinner experience! Our server was sensational! I got their price fixed several course dinner magnificently paired with tasty wines. We sat outside with our very well behaved dog under a stunning redwood and surrounded by greenery with a romantic fire. Such a lovely space! The chef is quite talented! Everything was extraordinary and beautifully paired with wines! To start he made a chilled cantaloupe soup with salmon roe and I have to admit that I didn’t know what to expect but it was so incredibly delicious. Compliments to the chef! We are coming back next time we are in the area!

Beautiful restaurant with a high class feel yet relaxing atmosphere. The place as character in a delightful way. The food was above expectations for lunch. Tomato soup made with California pear tomatoes and pesto grilled cheese sandwich was perfect afternoon meal on a chilly day. Husband and I will be coming again often to try more delicious plates.

An extraordinary experience! The menu is eclectic Italian with a marvelous and unique menu. I have been here 4 or 5 times and am continously amazed. Service was excellent and our server knowledgeable of each offering. The wine list is remarkable.

Went to try their tasting menu. Nice atmosphere good service. I liked most of the items on the menu. I did order the panna cotta with strawberries and blackberries separately, as it is a favorite dessert of mine, but I was very disappointed when it arrived with no berries, and instead had cantaloupe with chocolate on top. Not a fan. I ended up taking it home and having it with berries at my house. It did taste great then. But I wish the server would have told me when I ordered it that it would not arrive as advertised. The pork belly with black rice was amazing, probably my favorite dish of the night. The pasta was so-so, the cantaloupe shot with caviar was surprisingly amazing. For me, the tiramisu was not great, however it was my fiances favorite dish. The quail was very good. The foccacina with prosciutto and mascarpone was very dry and tasteless, definitely my least favorite. Overall it was a good dining experience. I would return for certain plates. But I would be aware menu items may not arrive as described in the menu, which I don't think should happen without warning. Especially for the prices.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is fabulous, atmosphere is cool, and the service is wonderful. We were a large group who all ordered different things. There were a few misses- one overcooked steak, a farro dish that we didn’t love. But by and large the pasta was fantastic, the salads were good, the grill flavor on the meat was great, and the overall experience was very good. Nicely unpretentious but still good food. Highly recommend.
