Kingston Grill

This was an amazing place for a late lunch. The hostess was warm and excited to know it was our first visit. She was knowledgeable, professional and asked if we preferred savory or spicy. This information was then given to our server who came over and gave us an overview of the menu. As we waited we enjoyed the music and Jamaican vibes. The only thing missing was the sound of the ocean. We started with the spinach patty. It literally melts in your mouth. The owner came over a few times to check on our comfort level. I had the oxtails with cabbage, planting plantain, and peas and rice. This establishment has a Sunday Brunch, Wednesday Wind Down, Karaoke, and Live music. treat yourself. Excellent food, great service, and affordability all in Forest Park Georgia.

I finally found a nice yaaaad place fi nyam food! Aka I finally found a great Jamaican spot on the south side. This place is amazing. Walked in and the staff was very friendly and even wiped down an already clean table. We got there right as the DJ was setting up for his 7-10 session every Friday evening. So we ordered margaritas and their chicken egg rolls.. Yoooo, it was so damn delicious. They had this mango sauce to go with it and it complimented it so well. My wife ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage and she tore it up. I got the jerk chicken pasta with a side of shrimp and I about fell out my seat it was so delicious. I shouldn't have, but I ate the whole plate instead of taking it home. Dish like that was too good to be leftovers. So while we were eating good food we had good vibes and the food was perfect. Also when you go there ask for Jalika aka Lil Bit. They have $30 all you can eat brunch on Sundays so that will be my next visit

The food was great, just wish the portions were larger. $18 for a chicken quarter (jerk chicken) was a little high. Would be perfect is it was half a chicken. Make sure you ask for the oxtail gravy on your rice. Parking was tight. Service was friendly. Music was a little loud so I had to talk over the music. I will return becuase the food was delicious, but not often becuase I need to check my wallet.

I'm up happy with the service, I walked in the lady who was working said I'll be right with you, Since then im here 15min and counting, and then to ladies just worked in she took them asap ask them are there dinning in or bar. I'm usually not the type of person who gives reviews but i felt very disrespected. Two ladies at the bar and I've been here waiting, she didn't ask me anything.

Sometimes we will stop here after work and the food is a hit and miss. Therefore, I stick to ordering oxtails. Today, the oxtails were “smoked” (in Jamaican terms; according to my Jamaican coworker, & chef lol) but for Americans it’s “burnt”…. They gave me a discount and a side order of jerk chicken since I ate the side cabbage lol…. A great place to hang out on the patio to have drinks but the food is iffy at best. I only come here when I’m at work. It’s definitely better Jamaican restaurants in the North Decatur & etc areas….

So nice we did it twice!!! Their Mother's Day and Father's Day Brunches were phenomenal! Bottomless mimosas, Rum punch and authentic JA...omg... We all left with happy tummies. The DJ made sure the vibes were right. All the staff were amazing and attentive. Can't say enought good things about thia place! Definitely returning for some of the weekly events soon.
