Moms Place

Went to try this place out with my buddy due to the good reviews and it was one of the best decisions of my life! It’s by far my favorite restaurant of all time with excellent service, hospitality, and obviously food! I would give this place 6/5 stars if I could, my favorite items are the omelettes and the 2x2x2x2! (with waffles).

Breakfast, desayuno, and prima colazione... Three ways to say breakfast in the languages of what's on the moms place sign. Italian, Mexican, and American! We had Mexican with plenty of salsa. Here we have an bacon quesadilla along with an apple Belgian waffle. Flour tortillas and a bacon omelette covered in cheese within the quesadilla. As any Mexican dish it's good by itself but it's better with a little chile.. the cheese and bacon mixed so well together. I was thoroughly pleased it had well cooked bacon inside and plenty of it. The waffle really got it right, there were hints of cinnamon mixed with thinly sliced apple and aptly dusted with powdered sugar. You scoop whipped butter and dip your morsel on the fork in syrup it'll complete your morning. I've heard health officials say your body needs something sweet to think it's full. Well this hit the spot, the texture was just crunchy enough on the outside and savory on the inside. The Apples were seasoned and fresh, this felt like breakfast you could pretend was a dessert and enjoy with a hot or cold drink. Come to this restaurant for a quick early morning bite. It has good atmosphere and great service.

This place is awesome very fresh food really nice people. It’s a family owned and operated business very personable people. The dad is the chef very friendly and nice man. I always get the monte cristo with fries. It comes with tortilla soup which is the best soup ever!!!! Definitely worth going they don’t stay opened too late.

We absolutely loved this place! A good old fashioned family run business. Pop is the chef and does the most amazing biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash and the Mexican skillet is just fantastic. The service is always with a smile and a happy comment. We loved it so much we visited four times in our week's visit!

I love the old school mom & pop businesses. Some years back it was not a standout to be one of these establishments. Nowadays they are becoming farther and fewer than ever. On top of that it's the diner restaurants I grew up with. Mom's place reminded of a diner we lived next door to, when I was a young boy. I must of been 4 or 5 years old when my uncle Bernard passed away. My grandmother brought me in there and we shared a meal with her explaining as kindly as possible, about death and heaven and my uncle Bernard. That's the diner memories I have, and although that particular diner is no longer around, Mom's is. If you can relate, you'll enjoy Mom's diner.

Mom's Place is an amazing little spot with awesome food! My fiancee and I were staying at a little BNB in the area and we went to Mom's 4 to 5 times that week! It's a great family owned and worked restaurant and I highly recommend it! The Mexican skillet was a hit with my fiancee and I enjoyed the corned beef hash special! We both loved the grits! We will definitely return when we are back in town.
