Pit Zone Bbq

The place was clean and the people are extremely friendly! I ended up getting the half ribs and half chicken with the cabbage, they were out of collard greens :( corn bread and Mac and cheese. I have to say the Chicken was AMAZING! I thought the ribs would shine but the Chicken was delicious. The ribs were really good and the sauce had a decent bite to it. I only have the 4 stars because the Mac and cheese sauce broke and was ok but and corn m bread was ok. But again this place is for meat and the meat shined so bravo! I will be back.... also the have BBQ Nachos which I need to try.

The owner is a rip off, he solicited for funds to help assist to keep the restaurant open. We NEVER heard anything back. They are NOW closed and I want my money back and feel like we got robbed trying to support a black business. They were barely open, they sign said open at 11am and they would open at 2pm some days. I seen the owner in Food for Less buying chicken wings for the restaurant. I was purely disgusted that he was not at a wholesale place shopping for the restaurant. I now understand why this place is no longer open. Poor business skills and poor business management. I would give this place -1 if I could. The owner was rude to his employees. It seemed like a monarchy and hostile work environment. I would NOT recommend this guy or his shabby catering services. *BEWARE*******

Visited here for some carry-out tips. While I waited, met the family who owns Pit Zone and they are wonderful. Please eat here, it's a small family business with really good food! I'm picky about tips, I judge a place on them, and I will definitely be back for these! They make their own sauce from scratch, the tips were more meat than cartilage, and no bone. Some places, there's a lot of bone on their tips, not here! And the restaurant itself is a really cool space. Patronize this family establishment, they're worth it!

Very family oriented atmosphere, cozy and comfortable restaurant. My family and I ordered the Super combo with ribs, fried chicken, links and fries!!OMG!! Delicious, flavorful and yummy. Meat was tender and juicy. Seasoned well! The staff was upbeat and friendly and the chef stands behind his work👍👍 Overall, the 4 star rating was because my mouth was looking forward to the peach cobbler, which they didn't have this time. No doubt, we will be back with more family/friends❤ Pit Zone BBQ...be ready!!!😉

I tried Pit Zone BBQ for the first time on Saturday and, man, I was seriously blown away. The sauce walks this awesome balance of sweet, savory and spicy. The flavors are bold without being overpowering and all elements have their place. I tried the chicken, the ribs and the pulled pork. All of it was on point. Better yet...you know you are doing something right when your food tastes as good the next day reheated! I can't wait to meet all of you! I can tell there's lots of love put into this food. Thanks for being part of the neighborhood.
