Local Fast Food Review I know it's hard to believe, but I've only been to a @tacojohns once before (a good ten years prior) And when it comes to fast food "Mexican " options this one never really is at the forefront of my mind ...but it should be. Our #forestlakemn TJs is what you would expect taste-wise for fast-food-Mexican but a little more fresh than the other Mexican fast food chain down the road. Additionally, their service was outstanding 👏 The high-school students who worked there were amazing & professional. It reminded me a lot of the service you experience at @innout (which always impresses me) The management should be proud of their staff. Probably the best Taco John's I have ever been in! The food was terrific, the place was super clean, and the staff were friendly and made for a pleasant experience. I went there specifically to try the Mango Shrimp Taco (I love mango) but my brain couldn't handle the combination of flavors in the form of a soft taco! It was delicious, but I had to disassemble it and eat it with a fork!

We stopped in for a late lunch on New Year's Day and ordered two vegetarian Taco salads. The boyfriend was pleasantly surprised that the woman working gave him two bean options (please know that asking for meatless accommodations can be tricky at times). When the boyfriend got back to the car he mentioned that he was impressed with how professional the woman at the counter was. He also complimented the taco shell being the best he has had at a Taco John's in a long time.

Taco John's is a unique place a sea of monotonous fast food that is Forest Lake. The grilled taco, Potato Oles and rediculously large drink cups are what keep me coming back. They also still have a dollar menu. Check out the $1 chicken quesadilla! Perfect size for kiddos. The last time, the manager gave our kids little packages or cookies, free of charge. It added such a nice, personal touch to our visit. You don't get that at most fast food places.
