Nice little restaurant in forest lake. Take out orders only at the moment
The eggrolls were delicious and the curry i order was pretty good.
In my opinion this is probably one of the better Asian restaurant in the area

Spice was on point, flavors were not that good. There was very little chicken in the entrees. My pineapple curry had NO pineapple in it. Disappointing.

First time here today. Don’t expect anything flashy, but do expect great tasting food. I ordered the chicken peanut curry along with pork egg rolls and fried dumplings.
Egg rolls were good and homemade. The peanut curry had a ton of veggies and the broth had awesome peanut flavor. Wasn’t too thick.
Wife had the Pad Thai Curry dish. It was a spin on the normal dish, but much more thicker/creamier like a fettuccine alfredo. It was tasty as well.
It’s a wife and husband team and they were very friendly, but I could see where more than a few tables and things might slow down. I could be wrong. But, regardless it’s a great small business we all need to support, especially when you’re hungry!

Not gonna sugar coat anything... it was 3 star at best. Basic “Thai” food that really just tasted like every other “Asian food” spot near by. Not like Forest Lake is a Mecca of good food but this is your very basic stuff. Every dish is bland and it tastes more or less like your run of the mill Asian food. Nothing special....accept the chicken app. I could eat that every day. At the same time, my wife’s tofu dish had 12 pieces of tofu and bell pepper in the sauce....that’s it. No way I’d ever say this food wasn’t tasty, it’s just... mundane and not very special. I feel like if they didn’t have soy sauce and bell pepper they would lose half their menu. 😛

Normally I would say new Bangkok is good. And it is. Pretty good Thai food considering it is Forest Lake MN. But…. The food I got today had blue fuzzy mold all over it… which is inexcusable, even for Forest Lake.

Nice food. Right on street near lake. Park on street. Quiet ambience. Good and friendly service. Best place around for Thai food.

We’ve gotten takeout here 3x and I think this was unfortunately our last. The first issue is that they package their curries in paper Asian take out boxes wrapped in plastic - which doesn’t work. Every time it leaks and makes a mess. If the food was really good, this wouldn’t bother me as much. The drunken noodles actually have no flavor or spice.. which is so odd, because it’s supposed to be such a flavorful dish. The green curry was okay - very spicy and flavorful, but still not a hit for me. The egg rolls are okay. I do like that they are generous on the veggies! That’s the only plus for me. I worked at a Thai restaurant downtown for 8 years and have tried many Thai restaurants. This just doesn’t connect as notable Thai food in my books.
