Captain's Choice Restaurant

We bowled, played arcade games, and had a delicious seafood dinner at this large facility. The also have a laser tag facility, but we didn't try it out this time. The restaurant menu is simple, but the seafood was perfectly done. I think the blacked grilled fish was the best I ever had. The corn fritters were perfectly fried, great Cole slaw and fried oysters. We came back early in the morning and had the place to ourselves.

This place is suffering from putting off maintenance on a lot of it's games. 5-6 of it's arcade games were down out of their 20-30. The laser tag only had 7 working units and the staff didn't explain the game at all. The scores at the end didn't show on the screen and continued to glitch out the entire time. Bowling was alright, but given how we were working on timed games the slow response speed of maintenance when issues happened feels like we lost 10 minutes of our time. Their taco catering left much to be desired. The selection of taco toppings was dismal. All that was provided were salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, tomatoes, onions. Where was the lettuce , jalapenos, olives, gauc/avocado? Their chicken quesadillas were good. The general feel is that they're short staffed, lax on maintenance, and it's apparent at least one of the staff members didn't care much. They can only ignore these issues for so long until their reputation takes a hit. Updated review to 2 stars because the owners keep making excuses instead of fixing issues. If they can't deliver on their promises, then they should be charging full price for their venues.

The bowling pro shop is great 5 stars! Mark is amazing. However the bowling alley management is unorganized, when they have open bowling after leagues, they have different rules to get on a list. They seem to never have answers on timing for different events. Can be frustrating. Amenities are 4 star. Well kept and clean.
