Was with the kids early early in the morning and they wanted some breakfast. I decided to take them here. I was there around 7:15am so plenty of parking before no parking time of 8:30 am in that area. Had some A course and C course prix frixe. I had the macaroni /spam and coffee. Kids had instant noodles/spam. Price is very reasonable and the food faire was quick and tasty.

Food is a little pricy but definitely good that’s why I always keep going back..

Hong Kong style tea is my favorite. Fried noodles have flavor and crisp taste.

This place serving foods brought back my childhood memories of 茶餐廳 feel. Must visit when I stop by Queens again.

This is my go-to spot when I'm in the mood for my favorite HK style curry beef belly over rice ! I like the laid back local vibe and friendly service since the location is a bit out of the way from the hordes near central Main St. They do the beef belly right here using the correct cuts with tender beef, fat and tendon. The portion is BIG... Enough for one starving foodie or two regular folk.

Cash only. Workers speak Cantonese and mandarin. Food is average but with enough variety that you might want to come back and try them if you live in the area. Meter parking available. Minimum sitting so don't expect to dine in with a group. This is mainly a to-go place.

I've given them a 5 star, because the food has the right amount of flavor without over powering your taste buds and for a good price.
Also, they are genuinely kind. I appreciate that so much. My girlfriend and I really love coming here. Thank you!

I planned to get a couple of pastries from 88 Canteen since my husband loves Hong Kong Style pineapple buns with custard so much. However, I visited too late at about 4pm on a weekday and most of their pastries were sold out already.
I ordered their Baked Portuguese Chicken on Rice to go and shared with my husband for dinner. The portion was great with plenty & various ingredients and the price was reasonably at $10. The dish was decent and satisfying but the texture of chicken was a little weird & tough for me.
We might come back in the morning next time to try their pastries or breakfast. The only one complaint is Cash Only, which is a concern during the pandemic.

Great little spot to get a good meal. Flavors or good but not typical of Chinese takeouts. Like the pork chops are served on top of ground pork with pickled vegetables. General Tao’s was delicious. Portions are good for one person but can be shared if you’re not a big eater

I used to give this place 5 stars, now i can only go with 4 stars. Flavors have changed a bit and prices rose a bit, but still very good nonetheless. My go to is the baked pork chop over rice. Healthy portions and good flavors! They have bakery goods like cake and bread also. DO NOT come on a weekend as you'll be waiting SUPER long. you've been warned!
