Unexpected restaurant at the basement of hotel lobby. Taiwanese food is on point and worth going to. Not many legit choices in Flushing anymore, but this one is solid. Came here on Sunday night and still a fair amount of people here. We had the classic cuisine and had soup noodle and had great time here

Hidden GEM 💎. Friendly smiling staff, great authentic Taiwanese food! Big portion and reasonable price. Ordered: Fried leek dumpling, Beef stew and tendon noodle, fried chicken nugget over rice, mined pork on rice,Taiwanese appetizer (bean curd, beef, pig ear ) Leek dumpling is usually pan fried outside, can be quite oily. This one is really deep fired, crunchy outside but not feeling oily. Bean curd is on the hard side in the appetizer combo. One thing to note: the place is only accepting cash for now.

Awkwardly located in the lobby/basement of a hotel, this restaurant has a lot of Taiwanese staples. The fried popcorn chicken was delicious and generous portions. Fried pork chop with rice set meal hit all the tight notes. The beef noodle soup was disappointing, the beef itself lacked flavor though everything else in the dish was great. The oyster pancake was cooked proficiently but came with an unexpected and weird tomato based sauce. Portions and prices are good. Place is cash only. The bathroom is kinda nasty. And while we were eating a group decided to have a loud legal meeting at another table which was distracting and annoying.

This hidden gem is located in the basement of the Best Western. Decor is simple and clean. It's not that important because when you walk in, you will be transported to Taiwan via your stomach. The menu has a good number of Taiwan staples and they are cooked well. Simplicity is sometimes all you need especially if they hit all the right notes. We ordered the mushroom braised pork belly rice, the beef noodle soup and the salty sticky rice roll. The salty sticky rice rolls reminded me of the homes I had eaten growing up. There is a good amount of sticky rice to the you tiao. I wished the you tiao was a bit crispier but there was a nice flavor from the pickled veggies inside. It was fine and just as you would expect it. Now the other two dishes were ordered shined like no other. First, the beef noodle soup. The broth was aromatic and evenly spiced. Each bite of spice they used complemented each other and it wasn't overly salty. The noodles were cooked al dente and had soaked up the beefy flavor from the broth. They were flavorful even with eating it with a sip of the broth. The beef itself was so tender and you barely need to chew it. I like things more spicy so I added more chili oil. However, it was great just as it was. My personal favorite of the meal was the mushroom braised pork belly dish. This is a hard dish because most of us loves the one our family makes so we are all a little biased. However, this one here is done very well. The rice was cooked perfectly so it was just soft enough to soak up the sauce but not overly mushy. Most places I find mushy rice but not here. The rice comes with a soy sauced egg, bean curd and pickled veggies. The pork belly sauce is to die for. The bits of pork belly just melts into your mouth and coats every nook and cranny with porky goodness. There is a little sweet and then a little savory flavor. Pickled veggies add a bit of tang and crunch. Your mouth will be in celebration of all the different notes of flavor and texture. I just wiped away the drool from my mouth as I typed that. Service is friendly and remember it's cash only. It's a quiet place and I recommend going with a group so you can order more. It's a bit of Taiwan that you can enjoy without taking a very long flight to there.

Really decent Taiwanese restaurant. Located within a hotel this discreet eatery offers traditional Taiwanese snacks and dim sum. Cant go wrong with the scallion pancakes wrapped in egg. Their beef noodles are legitimate and very tasty. The staff are friendly but service is a bit slow. Cant rush quality food though. I will gladly come back anytime for some delicious food from this establishment.

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant famous for breakfast and lunch. I love their rice rolls with crunchy fried dough inside. They are famous for their noodles with beef. I also like the tofu and chicken rolls. 正宗台灣餐館。著名咸甜豆漿同牛肉麵。我最喜歡係咸飯團,鹵水豆腐,同炸雞卷。
