Cocoa Mia

Gorgeous little chocolate shop! As a self-proclaimed chocoholic, I can verify this is one of the best chocolate shops I've ever visited! Don't let the quaint exterior fool you: this lovely little shop contains not only locally-made goodies, but delicacies from around the world! The owner was very welcoming and even encouraged us to have samples of any chocolates we were interested in (including *the* best hot cocoa I've ever had the pleasure of trying!). These treats will transport you to their country of origin with a taste and sense adventure that is truly an experience. They even have chocolate teas, soaps, FROZEN hot cocoa (whoa), daily fresh-baked goods, custom truffle boxes, and more. It's great for gifts or a little treat for yourself. 😉 It would be dangerous if I lived closer, but this is a MUST visit for any chocolate lover!

Best hot chocolate in the world according to my 8-year-old! (and he'd know!) There's also a vegan hot chocolate mix if you're looking for that. Their chocolate chip oatmeal cookies are like mom used to make. What a sweet shop! You should definitely stop by whenever you're in Floyd, VA. There's something for everyone, from coffee and biscotti to caramels and truffles. The chocolates are nicely balanced with high quality chocolate and not too sweet like the commercial stuff.

The folks who own Cocoa Mia are wonderful and the chocolate, goodies, sweets and treats are divine. This is how a business needs to run! This is how you treat your customers. Anyone who needs a reminder, come on in. You will not be disappointed. I love their mayan truffles, hot chocolate, macarons, sipping chocolate, ice pops and millionaire shortbread. Everything is dangerous (because it is so good). The best part is the greeting and welcome you feel when you enter whether the shop is packed or empty. I wish I could come in everyday but then I would be broke. I’ve been coming to Cocoa Mia the last 4 or so years. There is always something new to try too. The shop is delightful. I love buying treats for myself, family, friends and special occasions. There are even chocolate bars from around the world. If you are in Floyd, go to Cocoa Mia. You do not want to miss the people, the chocolate and the beautiful shop!

My friend and I visited Floyd recently and we visited Cocoa Mia TWICE while there. The owner and his wife are super friendly and knowledgeable about everything chocolate. After enjoying some of their truffles during our first visit, we went back a second time for more truffles, chocolate tea and sipping chocolate. Highly recommend!
