There aren't many bbq places in the Keys. Hubs smokes his own meat at home so he is a bit picky. We started with the fried pickles. Big serving and good with the chipotle ranch but the coating had Italian seasoning or the like and we were not digging entirely on the heavy oregano flavor. He had the pork belly sliders and was very happy! I had the smoked tofu sliders which were fantastic. Mac n cheese was delicious. Our son (4) had the pulled pork sandwich and house made applesauce. Also, done extremely well. Service was excellent! Draft beer was not as cold as we wanted but what are ya gonna do in June?

Came in for a late dinner on suggestion from a local. Was a little skeptical about BBQ in Florida but it was a good choice. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich which doesn't sound special but it had a special mustard, onion ring, tomato & avocado. All of that plus a juicy chicken breast with tangy BBQ sauce was right what I needed. It came with tasty fries. The staff was a little distracted with a homeless man dealing with cops outside but I had food & the first Baylor football game of the season on so I was good.
Serves good food...late! After getting in late from being at the beach and watching the sunset, we chose this restaurant. They served food until at least 11pm. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting and BREEZY. The 1/2 chicken, mac 'n cheese, and coleslaw were very good, but nothing special. I really enjoyed the garlic green beans. They offer eight varieties of BBQ sauce, each with a different spice level and clever name. The hottest one, "Brain Damage," is billed as being unbearably hot, but I ended up dipping half of my meal in it.
Fries were great! Ribs, wings, brisket all excellent.
Best margarita I've had all day! The Mac Daddy Bowl was outstanding. We started with the pickled eggs/beets and the brisket Mac balls. All was very very good. Service was great! Will visit this place again.

We were over at the Green Parrot and they suggested this place and they were cool with us bringing the BBQ over to the green parrot to enjoy the band! I thought my BBQ sandwich was exceptional! My friends all gobbled theirs as well! Thanks for the great BBQ sandwich!

While in Key West there are so many great places to eat and my wife and I want to try them all, but we loved this place so much we went back for seconds the next day. Excellent, down home style BBQ that'll stick to your ribs with lots of great beer options and plenty of TVs for sports. We also went back for trivia night and had a great time then too. We look forward to getting back here again!
Great Brisket and Chicken Dinners...the Deep Fried Pickles were interesting, the Mrs liked them better than I did.

This restuarant is a must visit place!!! An absolute must. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband smokes his food alot, so I am very picky about tasting others....but My goodness, Charlie Mac's chefs know "exactly" what they are doing. The portion sizes were shockingly amazing. Great environment. We had a blast there. You really have to visit this place...FANTABULOUS!!!!!!
An awesome BBQ restaurant, right on Duval Street. Their brisket is tender and well flavored. The key lime pie there is one of the best I've had in Key West!
Great food, drinks and location with indoor and outdoor seating! We were there the week before the Super Bowl and since it has all the Philadelphia spirit, lots of Eagles chants. The food was excellent, highly recommend the steak tips and onion rings.
The bbq is great here! The hot sauces are VERY hot! The food came out quick and the meat was extremely tender. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and even funny! For how much food you got, the cost was actually extremely reasonable! Would highly recommend Charlie mac's if you want good bbq.
My first trip to USA ever, and when we arrived to Key West after 8 days in fort Meyers I was not served a propper american meal yet - Charlie Mac's managed that.
I was though a little dissapointed that the waither did'nt know where Denmark is placed in the world ;-)
Get.the.ribs. You can add your choice of bbq sauce and will be full from the generous portions! Also, make sure to get FRANCES as your server-- she's awesome! We ordered the sample for two and attempted to demolish it-- we didnt even come close, but we had fun trying!😊
This place is a breath of fresh air. We've been in Key West for two weeks now, and have eaten fish every day. This place has pretty damn good BBQ. We got the Mac Daddy Bowl and split it between the two of us, and let me tell you, it was plenty! The brisket and pulled pork was really good, and so was the Mac and cheese and the baked beans. We felt the chilli tasted just a touch scorched, but over all the meal was great!! And for 20 or so bucks?!?? Can't beat it! Laid back and comfortable atmosphere...and you can hold a conversation while eating to boot!! Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Awesome food. The mac and cheese balls with pulled pork are delicious. The Savage sandwich is the best I've had. With all the meat in it, it's a carnivores dream.
