Hot Rod Cafe

This was our first visit after being recommended by several friends. Go in hungry!!! Their regular, hand patted burger is a whopping 10 oz! Their menu says it comes with chips, and fries would be an upcharge, but the waitress served it with fries at no extra charge. I was super hungry when I went in, so I ate the whole burger and a lot of the fries, but an hour later I was feeling pretty stuffed LOL.... and I did NOT want supper. My husband got the Patty melt on Texas toast and he was also stuffed when we left. Great atmosphere with old car tags, models of cool hot rod cars and car parts everywhere. Love the family table made out of old whiskey barrels. They offer All You Can Eat Fish and Chicken. Maybe we'll try that next time. Only thing I would change is the sweet tea, which didn't have much flavor. For southern tea it should be a lot stronger and twice as sweet

I can see y’all are temporarily closed and understandably so. You have poor attitudes and apparently do not want me as a customer or anyone else not laced with a hundred tattoos and like a million piercings in their face. I felt like their should be drug deals in the back because I definitely did not feel welcome. Why I went several times was because the burger was excellent and like I said was. Last couple times not so much and that was it for me.

Service was fast and efficient. Got the breakfast burger on this visit and it was pretty darn good. Filled me up. My wife got the taco burger and said it could have used more seasoning but overall she was impressed with it. Next time we go back going to have to try some of the chicken entrees, they sounded really good as well. But I was in a mood for a burger this time and glad I got what I got. Will be back again
