Others are way more impressed than I was. Old time garage sale quality hamburger joint. Probably more useful as a place to tell stories about rather than a good place to eat. I grew up in a 1960s Jewish kitchenette near NYC. My memories are way better than this reality.

I've been a faithful customer since Billy Staggs run this store .always loved the food but after today I will no longer be a customer .I called an order in ,drove all the way down there only to be greater by we ran out of meet sorry then slammed the door in my face . Goodbye staggs grocery .One customer can make a business and one can ruin it .

Yes, this is a real burger joint. They do accept cards, it's a bit confusing. You must order at the counter next to grill. Then you pay at the front, just like a store. But, nothing too complicated. I'm a big eater and the double was almost too much for me. Real nice and friendly staff, downtown parking so it may be limited with a big vehicle. I definitely think this is the best burger in northern Alabama.
