Very delicious! We had the pondicherry cheese dosa and rava masala dosa. The owners and staff were extraordinarily helpful and welcoming. They were happy to make suggestions for us and went out of their way to make sure that we had a good experience. They even cut the dosas differently for us since they knew we were sharing. It was our first time there but we will definitely be back.
They make everything fresh while you wait and the wait is never very long. They are sensitive to your dietary needs, gluten included. If you're non-Indian like me, they are always happy and patient to explain the different dishes. I've been here about 10 times at this point and the food is always delicious. It's not fancy, but it is special.

OMG! Delicious! First time ever having a dosa, i honesty don’t know why I waited 37 years to do so. I had the potato and spinach dosa. It came with 3 sauces, all of them different, flavorful and complimented the amazing dosa. The dosa comes on a paper platter and there is tap water available at the counter.
I was in the area & saw that there were a ton of Indian restaurants. I quickly decided on this place & popped in for a fast casual dinner while I waited for rush hour traffic to thin out. Loved it—I’ll be back! The Tamarind rice was my favorite. A large portion—easily for 2-3 meals. I added some raisins when I got home & will be taking it with me tomorrow for lunch in the office. Owner was very nice & welcoming. Everyone that worked there was nice.
Today was my first time there. My son took me. He's been there before and said that today was the last day before they close for renovation(1 month). Reopening on October 1st, 2022 and I can't wait to go back. The food was amazing and so delicious. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Thank you so much!

First time at Hillside Dosa Hutt and I’m so impressed! Usually I go to Usha’s for my dosa cravings, but wanted to give this spot a try. Go up to the counter to grab a menu, order at counter, but they will bring food to you and you pay after your meal (card minimum $10). The lady by the cashier was very friendly and helped explained the differences between each dosas.
PSA: they will be closed the month of Sept 2022.
Pani Puri ($6) you get around 7 pieces with your order, a bit on the pricier end. BUT definitely worth the price - I would order 2 next time. They were nicely spiced (some heat, but not overly spicy), tangy and sweet. The puri was deliciously crunchy and tied up the dish perfectly to fit in your mouth in one bite.
I always get Mysore Masala Dosa, and they did not disappoint. The dosa was crunchy on the edges and softens up from the potato steam towards the center. I also ordered the Onion Chili cheese Masala Dosa - if you’re a cheese fan, definitely order. You will get a nice cheese pull with every bite. Personally couldn’t eat all of that cheese in one sitting, so the Mysore masala dosa is a favorite. Both dosa came with Sambar (lentil stew) which came out piping hot and 2 chutney.
Unfortunately they were out of gulab for the day and the lady recommended trying Ras Malai. No idea what it is but it’s like a sweet cake in cold sweet milk - very good, glad I only got one bc it’s pretty sweet but def is a cherry on top for the meal.
100% will be back soon and bringing my family!
Fresh food any time of the day. Ordered Mini Idli with Sambar. Hit the spot. They keep up with their quality and keep prices fair. Kudos
Nice quick dosa hut. Dosas we’re very good. Sambar and chutneys could be a bit spicier. Very basic and inexpensive. Good for a quick bite, not a date.
I have been eating here for years and it has recently become one of my go to spots. The dosas are A+. The samosa chaat and pani puri, excellent. Always a delicious meal!! Owner and staff are friendly, which is a plus 🙂

I would like to drop a suggestion if you could change your tea ☕️ consistency by adding a good amount of full fat milk, as the time I had it felt like water with very very skimmed milk tea.
A second suggestion would be, I ordered chilli cheese 🧀 dosa, there wasn’t any chilli if you could do something about it or try to make it in a different way with some red chilli flakes or green chilli it would for sure stand out with the name. Just saying, still we would come back for sure.
