So I was kind of hesitant to go there after seeing the previous reviews. I would go to their Court Street location for the beef stew, which my wife loves! Anyway, I was skeptical thinking that the beef stew wouldn't be the same. I was pleased with the service as soon as I entered and got my order within a few minutes. Keep in mind I called in the order and got there in 10 minutes. I'm very satisfied with my beef stew and beef enchiladas! And my wife is happy so we'll be returning!

Our waiter was very polite, other than that there isn't much going for this place. The food, sad to say, was awful. I asked if they used chicken stock in their sauces as I am a vegetarian, the kitchen staff didn't know so they had to call someone else. They came back to me and said that they used lard for most everything, even stuff on the "vegetarian" menu so it wasn't truly vegetarian friendly. The sauce on the enchiladas was gravy, the rice was under cooked and there was stew meat on my vegetarian plate that they scraped off and replaced with beans. Sadly, even with the very large portions, the food just isn't worth it.

Not good at all. Soggy chimichanga covered in canned cheese sauce. Tacos made with cheap, mushy meat. Tamale was way too thick and had NO flavor. I love giving restaurants a fighting chance, but I'm sorry -this is a no-go. Management was more than friendly to refund our meal and ask for critiquing.

Thought I'd give this place a try.. Got some chicken taco supreme's (5), was charged extra for supreme and barely got any toppings. Little to no sour cream or tomatoes. Charged $11.30 for Tacos that were thin as paper and meat was horribly salty. Wont be back. El Potrero has the best Mexican food in the area. Dont waste your time or money here. This place won't be open long with their horrible food.

Needs work. The waitress was very nice, but very slow. Food was decent, but pricey. This place is more of a take our, rather than a sit down place. We hope it improves and maybe we will try it again.

Decided to try the new location in Grand Blanc called ahead order wasnt ready when i got there and waited an extra 15 min. Checked my bag and was missing food. The food i received was terrible, greasy and cold how can you mess up tacos. Will never eat here again and will spread the word of how la azteca has fallen off

One star because zero doesn't exist. Bland enchilada soggy quesadilla, everything tasted off after a few bites, and what wasnt bad was just average. left two plates mostly full because the quality was so low. Took twice as long for the enchilada as i took for the quesadilla, which still took a while. Service was okay, though never got a refill on my mountain dew.

Service was okay and so was the chips and salsa but my Quesadilla was soggy from all the grease and the meat was very bland. I hate to leave bad reviews on small businesses but this place wasn't very good at all...
