Westside Diner

Total gem of a diner. I got the fish and chips with a cup of chicken dumpling soup and my husband got the 1/3 lb burger with fries and a shake (for $10!). My soup was AMAZING and I’ve never seriously used this phrase before but it was literally just like my mom used to make. Fish was good, fries were crispy. My husband would not shut up about how amazing the milkshake was and he’s a bit of an ice cream connoisseur. His burger was delicious and as it says on the menu, all their patties are made daily and never frozen. The restaurant itself has a very authentic 1950s feel to it and even though we went late on a Sunday evening, it was still fairly busy and full of a bunch of older folks. Booth, floor, everything was clean and the service was quick and attentive. We 100% will be coming back, probably many more times in the future. EDIT: went back 5 days later just for a soup and it was again fantastic. Love this place. 💕 EDIT #2: took my kids and my in-laws, and they all loved it, too. Everyone got the $10 combo and my father in law was the only one who could finish the food and the malt shake. Soup was once again amazing. 👌🏼

I have only been to this place twice. Both times my service was wonderful and my food was yummy. I went there based on reviews and they were not wrong. The number eight breakfast special with Cinnamon French toast, eggs, and your choice of meat is the perfect meal. The 50s diner theme was particularly nice for my mom. She thoroughly enjoyed the music!!

The westside diner is a great place to eat with a lot of character. The breakfast and lunchtime combos are hard to compete with in terms of price and quality. The staff is always incredibly friendly and the coffee is always hot. The decor and music might strike some as kitschy, but in my opinion is leaps and bounds better than the ambience of surrounding establishments.
