Thornager's

Thornager's was an amazing place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. Nestled in the pine trees with a rustic feel, it's intimate and inviting. Karen was amazing to work with and helped to make sure we had the time to get everything set up perfectly. As a DIY bride any extra time was super helpful and we lucked out with getting access to the Venue early to get things set up so it was just finishing touches on the day of. Karen even helped coordinate items on the day of, sort of our impromptu wedding coordinator along with family and friends. It was a beautiful venue and everything went off without a hitch. This location is great, but it is important to note that they do not offer catering but that wasn't a problem as we were able to get our caterer in to use their kitchen area just fine and our caterer said they were a pleasure to work with for coordinating all of that. They had bartenders on staff to help serve drinks and all we had to do was take all of our decorations out at the end of the night. A lot of other places we looked at required some cleaning as well, it was great to just have some friends/family rally to get everything moved out and move forward with the rest of the night! Really can't say enough about how wonderful this location is.

Karen at Thornagers was wonderful to work with! She is very knowledgeable and guided us completely on what we needed to do in order to plan our wedding. Thornager’s itself is a beautiful venue, especially if you are looking for something more rustic. We had our ceremony outside in the pine trees and our reception inside. She had decor, but we also added our own personal touches. It came out better than we expected and it worked great for our smaller guest list. She was also very knowledgeable on the other vendors we used and made sure to communicate with them beforehand to make sure everyone was on the same page. Couldn’t have asked for anything better

We had our wedding at the Kilted Cat over Memorial Day weekend and it could not have gone anymore flawlessly! From the very start, Karen was easy going and so so helpful. She made the planning much less stressful. The venue is absolutely stunning and was exactly what we were looking for for our rustic wedding. Toni was super attentive and did everything we asked. The night of the wedding, she made sure we were all taken care of. I could honestly not complain about one thing. Highly recommend for events! Plus, the food is AMAZING! All of our guests were very happy and had full bellies:)

We just used Thornager's for our daughters wedding in Flagstaff. Living over 3 hours away I was a little nervous about how it everything would turn out but I shouldn't have given it a thought. Thornager's was awesome! Everything was done that was promised, the food was excellent, their staff was wonderful, and I couldn't be happier. I feel so fortunate to have used them because the reception ran so smoothly and we have many comments on how good the food was. I would HIGHLY recommend Thornager's!

Setting the Catering Standard Karen Sorensen and her team pulled of an unbelievable wedding event! As a former event planner of retail, I chose to plan my own wedding. Food for 140+ people was going to be a lot of work. Planning and Preparation: Karen was very professional, pleasant and paid attention to the details. She provided all options and presented them in a way where I was comfortable to choose what I wanted for the event. She was timely and thorough with her proposals, provided tastings and even came up with new menu items as requested. Karen’s professional manner and attention to detail gave me confidence in knowing I didn’t have to worry about the success of the catering during my wedding. Wedding Day: Karen’s staff is just as professional and committed to customer service as she is. Tim who managed the wedding day was quick to make adjustments when needed and catered to making sure the event ran as smoothly as possible. He even went out of his way to address not catering issues as they arose which went above and beyond what was expected. Overall: I can’t begin to thank Karen, Tim and Nancy who made the wedding day such a success. The guests ALL loved the food and could not stop talking about how tasty everything was and that the service was exceptional.
