Friends Cafe

Very pretty restaurant The food is very tasty and not too expensive. Beware surprise charges though. I sat outside and was served by a very nice lady, but never got any attention after the food was dropped off, and had to walk in for a refill and to go boxes, only to then be scolded by a lady working there for not telling them I was sitting out there????? Good food, questionable service and friendliness for a place called friends cafe..

Service was very good early in the morning. Very courteous and came to check on us many times. The space outside is amazing, great space. Unfortunately the eggs Benedict was quite bad. The sauce over the eggs Benedict was just too much, it tasted odd and saturated everything, making the whole thing way too moist/wet. Seemed quite fatty also. The grits were actually quite good and I enjoyed them. May be back but will likely try something else on the menu.

They call it Friend’s Cafe for a good reason- everyone is seriously very friendly! Expect to find good vibes and good food here. My husband and I visited on a Sunday. The menu says they only serve breakfast all day on Sunday which was perfect for us. I ordered the crab cake Benedict with grits. They nailed the hollandaise sauce and the dish was perfectly seasoned. The grits were watery but I added a little sugar and they tasted fine. My husband loved his food too. The staff was friendly, along with the locals cracking little jokes and having laughs. The coolest part is how this restaurant is military themed. It’s also right by the beach, so we were able to just go around the corner and park by the ocean to walk off a delicious breakfast before hitting the road. Highly recommended!

This place was recommended to us by someone staying at our hotel so we decided to give it a try. A cool atmosphere and it definitely seems like a place the locals like to eat at. The food was delicious and they give you good size portions. Service was great. The only downfall is how many breakfast choices they have on the menu, it’s hard to decide!
