Steak 'n Shake

Today I went and there was only one worker and I just want to say I am very pleased with the service they provided and even tho I had to wait awhile I don't mind because they are doing the best they can do with a line to the street. I even tipped because people can be jerks sometimes in that situation. food was great and I was treated respectfully so def no complaints!

Worst experience. Order online for curbside. Got their they didn’t answer the phone and door was locked. Went through the drive thru to pick up and waited over an half an hour. Milkshake machine broke. Our cups had more pop on the outside then inside. Our burgers were cold and disgusting and we didn’t even get our fries with our meals. My son ordered a plain hot dog and they put ketchup and mustard on it. Tried calling the restaurant 5 times after we left and no answer. I would like a refund!

The lobby was closed so I had no choice but to go through the drive thru. After sitting there for 5+ minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence I was finally able to place my order. I then spent another 10+ minutes waiting to receive my order. I was the only person in line. After pulling away we realized that they forgot a part of the order. We then had to turn around and go through the drive thru line again. By the time we were able to eat the entire meal was cold. The sides of cheese tasted they were old. The chicken tenders were anything but tender. My child wouldn't even take a second bite of the grilled cheese and I once watched him go for a second bite of mud. The burgers were burnt and dryer the a bucket of sand from the desert. The fries were still frozen. Literally not a single bit of this experience was pleasurable. This review is from a couple who had their first date at this very same location and who's nostalgia may have blinded us from the decline of this restaurant during our monthly visit. We have gone from celebrating our anniversary here, to having settled on never eating at another steak n' shake again. I would like to end this by thanking the staff at this location. Thank you for ruining a special place for us.

went through drive thru girl had attitude which is whatever to be expected from steak n shake but fries were hard and cold garlic burger was so greasy and full of salt it was not edible besides it only had one patty went back through to get a refund and was told that I was not allowed to refund that it was too late? Would like my money back but apparently you have to have your food remade and you don't get the choice to have your money back?

There was one car ahead of us and it took YEARS to order. They forgot to give us a kids meal we ordered so we had to turn around and wait forever in line again, all the while with a crying kiddo. We were supposed to get a drink and a shake but they only gave us the shake and refused to give us a drink when we came back. Just go to another fast food chain in the area and avoid this much disappointment.

This place was filthy. The floors in the dining room and the bathroom were really dirty, the toilets were gross, the hand dryer in the women's bathroom wasn't working, and one of the soap dispensers was empty. Our ketchup bottles were both empty, no napkins at the table, no salt on the table and I had to request silverware for my burger with no bun. We had to wait several minutes to get seated. I didn't get the burger I ordered. However the burgers we got were quite good and our server was good.
