Awesome cajun food and great live music. Louisiana BBQ shrimp are my fave, even better on top of the filet. Always have to have a side of red beans and rice. Love that they have Abita!
Very impressed! Just stopped on by chance when we were passing thru. I had the Shrimpalya. Amazing and filling. My wife had the catfish which was very good as well. Extremely friendly staff too. Highly recommend!

Delicious!. I arrived at Taytro's around 12:15 and was promptly greeted and told to sit wherever I'd like. I chose a table in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen doors. The waitress (there were 2 on the floor this afternoon) took my order for iced tea and left me with the menu. I had looked at their menu online, before I arrived, and knew that I wanted the shrimp po' boy. I also based my order on the recommendation of a fellow reviewer, Eat and Critique. The waitress took my order at 12:20 and by 12:37 the sandwich was sitting in front of me. Seventeen minutes wasn't worth worrying about because there were 2 or 3 tables with several people per table, and their orders came out just before mine.
The sandwich was delicious. It came with lots of well seasoned and cooked shrimp along with lettuce, tomato, and a spicy citrus chipotle mayo (I had them to leave off the pickles). The mayo had just the right amount of kick to bring the sandwich together. I chose the fries over the chips as a side, and I'm glad I did. They were hot and crunchy. The seasoning on them was phenomenal!
The waitresses never let my glass of tea remain empty for long and they did a great job throughout the 75% full restaurant.
I am very pleased with today's visit at Taytro's and I plan to go back!
The real deal. I stopped by here on a whim the other night and had a great dinner. The folks at the bar were friendly. Heather, behind the bar, makes a first rate martini. At her recommendation I tried the red beans and rice which were excellent. I also had the BBQ Shrimpalya which was delicious (and it's not a BBQ flavored sauce, more a rich, cajun gravy). Spices and seasoning were great. Even the side salad was really good. I would definitely come back again.

Looking for a nice change, This is it!. We eat out entirely too much & were looking for a change, Taytro's is it. Glad we heard about if from friends who really liked it also.
We went on Saturday for dinner, I'm glad we got there a bit early because it filled up fast. (we got there @ 5:45)
They had live music also that was great, he kept it at a reasonable volume too so we could still talk.
We had alligator bites that were ok, but the wings & the Jambalaya were great.
The food was a bit spicy, but nothing crazy. I'm sure they'll be happy add some cayenne to make you breathe fire if you request it.
The staff was spot on, our waitress was great. I haven't see a hostess work that much in a while, she was seating people & helping buss tables, it's just good to see.
They have a full bar with a good selection of beer, we were very surprised to see they even had a decent wine list (for a casual place). My wife had a bloody mary which was great.
We are looking forward to going again when my appetite is bigger, ! want to try the crawfish etouffee.

Get the wings!. All the food here is tops, but thet wings are the best around. They are a mix of sweet and a little bit of spicy hot. You can taste a small bit of honey used to give them the perfect sweet taste. Small place in a small town, but worth the visit if you are in the southern Jeffco area! You will not be dissapointed.

Louisiana on a plate...at last.... We are super foodies and travel all over the US and beyond in search for good eats. We took a trip up the Taytro's and we were very surprised at how they almost nailed Cajun on the head. The gumbo was rich and dark and full of the correct veggies and meat, and was the best I have had so far in the so called north. The red beans and rice were good, as was the jambalaya. The shrimp po boy was a hit with my hubbie, and he is just as picky about authenticity as I am. I would have like a bit more cayenne, and bay leaf flavor, but, hey, this is the north...I hope they stay around because I will be wanting my gumbo fix again, and soon. Good job...you can't fake Cajun cookin'. Either you know it your you don't, and they have a good handle on that...gotta have tabasco sauce though...just a thought to pass on to them if they read this...I learned a yummy secret from an old cajun in Louisiana that I have learned to love...serving gumbo with a good mustard potato salad . Take a bite of salad and scoop up some gumbo all in the same bit...oh yeah!!! Amazing...try adding this simple step and you won't be sorry....loved it!
Cajun in Festus?. Friends introduced us to Taytro's a few weeks ago and it has become a favorite. It is still pretty new to the scene and they are working out a few bugs, but the food is really good. Wednesday is Ahi night and it is excellent. They sometimes have an Ahi salad special that is super!
The Taytro family is trying hard and they have a good product. I just hope they can survive in this area.
We had a great time and didn’t have to wait very long to be seated. The waiter was polite and amazing. The place the busy but the waiter was able to help everyone and get what people needed.
Definitely deserve's the five star rating! First want to just say their service there was phenomenal 🙂 the gentleman that took care order and served was very kind, efficient as well as attentive! Followed by the service was the food, let me just say if your looking for some hot wings would highly recommend because they were cooked to perfection. Our entrees were delicious and also cooked to taste! The band that was playing was spot on and good! Would say they hit the 5/5 on the rating skill. Will be returning again for some good food again.
Very friendly staff. Very clean and organized. Had the pleasure of talking with the owners while we waited to recived our take home order and the owners are very pleasant and humble. The bartender who took our take home order was very helpful with offering information of more places to see and go since we had just moved here. The food is fresh, cooked to satisfaction and you must try the bread pudding. You must try the bread pudding! This establishment has earned a 10 star from my family and I. Will definitely be back again.
I'm gonna give this place 4 stars. They're food is excellent, and the atmosphere is neat. The Cajun food is exactly as advertised, spicy, scrumptious and all around fantastic. The down side, we waited nearly an hour and a half for our food... on a Tuesday. and the portions left something to be desired. I got the shrimpalaya, and gator bites (which were awesome) and my wife got a platter. like i said quality of food is good, but the portions and service, not great.
Typically head out here on Fridays to listen to live music and a couple of drinks. Always a great time. Great food and drinks.

The food has always been delicious, we usually try something new each time we visit there are many items to choose from. Thursdays are tacos and so far everyone has been great. The service is top notch. Go early or wait in line! That should tell you something.
