The Emory

We went for brunch on. Sunday. Arrived around 130 and had a short wait to be seated. The food was mediocre and the service was too. I was disappointed. Everyone, except the bartender, seemed scattered. It was confusing who our server was, and they never actually stopped at the table. The person who seemed to be the manager dropped our food off. We didn't have silverware. They went and talked to another staff member rather than getting us silverware and we had to wait for our server to bring them. I wasn't offered another drink when I finished mine. They very much seemed like rushing us out was their focus. There were 2 hosts, a manager and at least 3 servers on the floor. Everyone seemed nice, no one was rude but the service was not good. I won't be returning.

All star ratings are for the bathroom, not the establishment. I really hope we visited the day before a renovation. 2 urinals, but one had a huge bag around it, and the stall walls were falling apart. Who's hanging on these walls? That's not what they're for. EDIT: The Urinal had been fixed!! (new pic below) The 2nd urinal placement was strange, tucked back past the 2 separate individual sinks. I wouldn't recommend this one until they've maybe fixed a thing or two.

What a cool place in the heart of Ferndale. Right on Woodward (which would make it an ideal place for lunch and the Dream Cruise) and amidst a beautiful history of art, food and of course, cars! They have large booths, square tables for 4, and a large, clean and dare I say fancy bar. The food is excellent (I would definitely recommend their burgers or their Buffalo pulled- chicken sandwich), the drinks are reasonably priced and the service staff are friendly and love to chat with customers.
