We arrived a little early for our reservation to check out happy hour. Our bartender Jordan was helpful in selecting a few drinks and dishes. Good conversationalist. After an hour we went to sit for dinner where adorable Lily helped us pick out a few more drinks and dishes. Everything....and I mean everything, we tried was top tier. The flavors and preparation was *PERFECT*. We blew off this spot for years because of the Detroit food explosion. Much regret for not checking out Voyager sooner! Might be the top 3 Seafood spots I have had in my life. The drinks were well balanced as well.

Voyager is such a lovely restaurant. My husband and I had such a delicious dinner here a few weeks ago. The menu was dedicated to an event in France when we went (I can’t remember what it’s called). It’s a cozy environment and the food was excellent!

I really want to like this restaurant. I’ve been here before and loved it. Sadly, they dropped the ball on the special tonight. The halibut was bone dry. It was way overcooked. It seems like it was just a simple but novice mistake that should have been spotted during plating. The rest of the dish was fantastic. The Fish itself was tough and chewy.
We also had the Dungeness crab, which was very good. Simple.
The oyster mushroom dish was okay. There were scorched flavors overpowering the sweetness you normally look for with black garlic. It kind of worked though. It wasn’t bad.
The scallops were executed perfectly. That poblano and mint combo is beautiful, as was the sear on the scallops. Really lovely dish.
The carrot cake dessert was not my favorite. The white chocolate layer is thick, unmanageable, and excessive. The cake itself needs moisture. The mascarpone, which I was most looking forward to on that dish, doesn’t really shine through. The foam the cake is plated with is a nice trick. It is very pretty, and adds some much needed brightness. Regrettably, it that dessert simply does not taste as good as the picture looks.
I will probably go back in the future to give voyager another try. Hopefully they do a better job with the fish.

Second time here & the quality of seafood here is rare for metro Detroit (and the prices match that). Service was accommodating and attentive, but not over bearing. The OYSTERS were AH-mazing (Pink Moon). Always enjoy the peel & eat shrimp & the hush puppies with that sweet butter. Arctic char was perfectly cooked - the turnips might’ve been a liiiiitle too smoky but I enjoyed them.
I love that this place is just down the street. Don’t ever change.

Only took one photo of our first plate(crudo) because I was so focused on all of the amazing food in front of me! The oysters, buffalo halibut, Caesar salad, mussels, crudo, & drinks were all great and every dish on the menu was clearly created with talent and passion. Loved that they also had mocktail options. I would absolutely eat here again.

Went here for Friday date night and it was a great experience from start to finish. I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and it surpassed expectations. Lily was very pleasant and made great suggestions. The food was outstanding and coursed very well considering the small kitchen. Will be back and recommending to all my friends!

Food is great, portions kinda small for them to be shared. Service was decent at best. Drinks looked good but taste satisfactory.
The umbrella outside above the table kept flying all over and dropped stuff into my drink, server said "oh I'm sorry" but didn't replace my drink smh

I was initially suspicious this would be one of these places hipsters rave about because of the novelty factor ( high end seafood behind a tire shop) but we ended up having a meal my wife described as " one of the best meals of my life". The place is not much from the outside but once you walk in you sense a very Williamsburg vibe. The decor is cool. Our drinks were very tasty. We ordered the seafood platter which was an excellent idea. The seafood is very fresh and the kitchen knows not to mess with it. The snow crab legs were delicious. Shrimps were seasoned perfectly with old bay. The oysters were the stars of the show. The mussels initially felt like an afterthought but with the sauce they were really excellent. I've never had a panzanella before but I'm ordering it any time I see it on a menu from now on. The Lobster pasta was the best dish of the night, by far. There was a creamy salty sweet umami that was absolutely out of this world. You don't come here for dessert but it was still very good. Absolutely coming back to this place very very soon
