Honey's has been a family favorite for years and we always make a point to visit at least once when we are in town. However, I have to say I was a little disappointed this trip. The slaw was just as tasty as ever, but the patty didn't have much flavor and there was only ONE pickle on my burger. I know times are hard right now, but only 1 pickle? We had a large group and we enjoyed our visit, but I hope next time there are more pickles on the burgers.

Stopped here during a work trip and it was so great! Loved the atmosphere and food. I tried the double slawburger and I would 100% eat it again. If you’re in the area definitely give it a try!

I tried the slawburger. I was more surprised by the fries. The atmosphere was definitely small town. Loved it!

The biscuits are good Southern style. Good sausage and eggs. The gravy was good as far as gravy goes. I enjoyed the low key atmosphere.

TLDR: Excellent service, but the food is subpar. Pros: The food is at a very low price, and my server was very attentive, polite and just in general good at her job. Cons: The beef stew (pictured in this review) was completely inedible and does not resemble stew in appearance or flavor. However, our server did replaced it with chili after we complained, so again, the service is very good. I am 99% certain that the chili was canned based on the flavor and the low meat to bean ratio. If this is the case, they're doing themselves a disservice, as homemade chili is very easy to make, tastes far better, and is astronomically cheaper. The slawburgers were certainly not bad, but definitely not good enough to be the featured dish. The flavor was good, but the texture was off, mainly with the soggy buns. Finally, the way they brought food to the table was confusing. We had multiple parties seated together at one table, and they would call out the menu items and see who would take them. This looks like a decent plan on paper, but in practice, it resulted in customers getting the wrong food. For example, I ordered a slawburger with chili, and another member of my party ordered a slawburger with fries. When the server came back and asked who had a slawburger, the other member of my party claimed it. They came back a minute later with a slaw burger and fries on the same plate... After the other party member had already eaten my burger.

The food was basic and well priced. However, the location was DIRTY! Also, they were out of roast beef and Budweiser, both of which my husband had ordered. I do not recommend this local staple.

Granted all the negative reviews pouring in after one customers libel, it baffles me why people are the way they are. The customer service is top notch; even on busy days. For an example; Around 12 pm, seemingly it’s busiest hour of the day, I was seated immediately and asked how I was, what I would like to order, etc. The food came out very promptly and fresh.Mr. McAllisters presence is always apparent when you step inside and is comforting to know that the owner takes pride in his restaurant and employees. I’ve never had an issue dining here and will continue to praise this nostalgic piece of Fayetteville history.

The slawburgers are the best! Fries are hand cut and perfect. The service is great and won't let your iced tea glass go dry. Very cool place with old school charm. Lots of pictures of real and movie mob bosses on the walls.
