in my opinion food was great! My mom even enjoyed it, & we’re picky 🤣 people said it was smaller portions but honestly this was a lot I still have left overs for dinner 😆

Ordered chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. Wings were way too salty. There was not a shrimp... nor onion, scallion, pea, carrot or any other vegetable to be found in the rice. Just white rice fried in soy sauce. Tried to make rice palatable by adding duck sauce. Unfortunately the packet had gone rancid. Ended up having to throw all the rice away. Guess that was a sign from the universe to steer clear. I won't be back.

Absolutely ridiculous small portions for almost $30 for two meals like this it’s like mall food expensive for a little food avoid this place

Way overpriced, and, the food was terrible. I will avoid this place from now on. I threw pretty much my whole meal in the dumpster at my job, and, the stray cats wouldn't even eat it!

I'm a New York transplant and it's been tough to find Chinese that comes close.. I've been going here for over 6 years now and 9/10 it is good.. sometimes like all normal people the cook has an off night or something doesn't taste the same as the last time... I love the kung pao delight or the triple garlic delight. Only complaint is that they seem to have changed the chicken egg rolls...

OK, so I really hate giving bad reviews, I really do, but I think after the many chances I've given, I'm going to have to do it. We have been customers of China Restaurant since we moved to Fayetteville more than 5 years ago. The most pleasant experiences we had were NOT with the lady in the front, but rather, with the young girl that would cashier every once in a while. This young girl had wonderful customer service, unlike the lady (she may be part owner, not sure). Unfortunately, she's rude, and today, she was rude to me for the last time. Over time, she has been rude and has had an attitude off and on. Tonight, she even walked away from me with an attitude and left me there standing completely lost.
Let me give a little backstory to explain what happened. In November, if I recall correctly, they had forgotten to pack the chips that come with the wonton soup. My husband likes to eat the soup with the chips. I called and she said she will give a $2 discount next time. I say ok and hang up. Next time we order, she does not give him the discount. When he comes home, he tells me she charged the full amount. I call and ask her about it and she said it was only if he paid in cash, but she didn't mention this even when he picked it up, we would've paid in cash if we would've known. When I told her that we didn't know it had to be if he paid in cash, and that we wish she would've mentioned it, she got an attitude once again and annoyingly told me $4 discount next time. Fast forward to tonight. I order a large wonton soup and a dinner combination. I nicely (I am never rude to people because I hate it when people are rude to me, and I believe you catch more bees with honey, except for her, she's just rude, no honey will sweeten her sourpuss self up) remind her of the discount under my husband's name, and she said that it's not for $4 like I say but for $2. I remind her of the last phone call and she huffed and looked annoyed. I tell her not to worry, that I'm telling the truth. She rings me up for more than it's supposed to be with the discount, and I nicely and quietly tell her that it is more than it's supposed to be with the discount. She huffed again, catches an attitude and walks fast all the way to the back of the restaurant, grabs something and throws it somewhere to cook and just leaves me standing there. I am thinking that maybe she went to cook the soup or something, so I stand to the side because another customer walks in. When she leaves, I walk up and she looks at me and says, "ok so, what did you say it's supposed to be (with an attitude)?" I try to tell her, I realize she's still not honoring the discount she said she would give, so I just say, "you know what, it's ok, and give her my card." The cook peeks out and sees her charge me what she's not supposed to. He kinda has a grin on his face (she had said something to them when she caught the attitude with me). I grab my food and leave because it's not worth the going back and forth with someone who has always sucked with customer service. I grab my things and leave. As always, the food is not as good as it used to be when we first moved here. It lacks flavor for it to be Chinese food. I've had Chinese in NYC and it's definitely nowhere near that good. The prices have gone up and their food containers have gotten smaller.
I would rather go to China Cafe 7 off of Riverdale Rd (excellent food, service and prices every single time), China A off of Tara boulevard in Jonesboro( also delicious, great service and prices), or the Wok Express in Peachtree City (also awesome) than to ever go back to China Restaurant. She needs to lose the attitude and gain a new love and appreciation to the customers keeping her in business. Especially during this pandemic, where they have decided it's a good idea to raise prices.
Ok, I know that was long, but everyone should know our experience. Maybe it's just us, I don't know. Either way, it's unacceptable and we're done!
