Came here and asked questions about the food, the service was really nice and explained thoroughly. I ordered fried dumplings and pud woonsen. I would recommend ordering the pud woonsen medium heat or higher, doesn't have much flavor otherwise. Also recommend ordering an extra red sauce with the dumplings, it's sweet and tangy. My only complaint is the price for the dumplings, $6+ for eight dumplings was disappointing. But definitely would order from here again.

I ordered Thai Fries rice. I normally order this rice from the Asian Express on Hope Mills Rd but I changed locations because of Uber Eats. However the rice was bland and had no little to no taste. I ended up reordering the rice from Hope Mills. To your response, it doesn’t matter where I got my eatable food from however because I paid for it, I expect to get my order fixed as discussed. Thanks 😃

I was under the impression that these were the same folks with the same food as the location on Reilly Rd. I don't know if that's true, but it's irrelevant at this point, because I'll be sticking to the Reilly Rd location from now on. The food here was either incredibly bland (Pad Thai) or overloaded with salt and black pepper (spring rolls). The pad Thai seemed like it was missing any kind of spices. It was bland, plain and simple. Almost no flavor. The Reilly Rd spot makes it 100x better. The stir fry dish (Pad Khing) I had tasted almost exclusively of ginger. There were other ingredients, but you couldn't taste them, because the amount of ginger was completely overpowering. Reilly Rd does this far better, too. The spring rolls, on top of being way too salty and having way too much black pepper, were also undercooked, resulting in a tiny crispy layer at the surface, but soft and soggy beyond that. Meanwhile, Reilly Rd makes 'em perfect. The Gang Kiew Wan had almost no flavor at all. The spicy meatballs were cooked well, but unfortunately, they were also bland. This location seems to suffer from an overall lack of flavor. Go to the Reilly Rd spot instead, you won't regret it like we are right now.

This place always get order wrong. The Asian Express on Reilly Road is way better than this one. Over it. Need better customer service as well.

Just go to the Hope Mills or Reilly Road location. Tried this location 5 times and every time I wish I hadn't. Either the food is not as good, or they get something wrong. Today, on the 27th of October, the woman behind the counter tried to blame me by saying I just ordered the wrong thing, when in actuality she mistook "House Pad Thai" for "House Fried Rice" and then began to speak very condescending to me, which has put me off this location for good. Two stars because I admire Asian Express and the food they've been making for decades.

Two weeks ago... Called ahead an order, part of that order was two “additional” egg rolls with my two basic Chinese dishes. (Orange and sesame chicken) Was told would be ready in 20 mins. Got there at 20 minutes on the dot, and paid my overpriced bill... waited an additional 30 mins for my food while not being acknowledged. Got my food only to see when I got home that they gave me two additional spring rolls (much smaller)... then found out they don’t have egg rolls. The chicken was over cooked as well... felt like I was eating gizzards. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile to Top China next to the Food Lion on Waldo’s Beach Road! This is a very old post (2 years ago). I had replied to a comment from the store, but their reply is now gone, so I edited my review to take down my additional info that made no sense without stores comment. It updated the review to just now.

Unfortunately, the food was not good compared to the Reilly road location. Regardless of the menu and recipes being from the same kitchen. The food at the Camden location was not as good as the Reilly location. Thai fried rice was dry, old, and bland. Meat overcooked. Also, there was a large roach on the floor on the way back to the restroom.

Ordered lunch for my work and had great service. I offered to pull back to their pickup window as they told me it would take about 10 minutes and the cashier told me it was no problem for her to walk it out to me. Their lunch special is a very generous portion. For about $8 you get a pretty good sized plate, 2 spring rolls and a drink!! I’ll be back for dinner. Really good
