Wiener Works

We went through to drive through to order and the girl at the window got the order wrong. We had ordered two large cheese she served us with one. The food that we bought there was very disappointing. I used to love Winter works and their food but their food was lacking this time. I chose the deluxe footlong Hot dog meal with fry delight. My hot dog barely had any chili on it and it actually barely had anything on it at all... besides a bun and a hot dog. The fry delight was good. The girl that was running the window at the time was not listening when we were trying to tell her that we ordered two sweet teas and not just one. So instead of sitting there waiting for her to listen we decided just to take what we did have and leave.

Ordered the footlong dog with chili and onion they also put mustard on it. The chili was good just a bit of spice to it, the amount of onions they put on was about perfect, the hot dog itself had very little flavor but supported the chili really well and the bun was nice soft and fresh everything was good about this dog I would probably rate it 7.2 out of 10 if I'm in this area I will definitely be back here.

Only 4 stars. I love the fry delight, when I request and pay for extra chili and sour cream, I feel a bit cheated. So when you ask for extras make sure you check before leaving the drive thru. I go there on my lunch break and I don't have the time to go back and have it corrected while the rest of my meal goes cold.

Honestly, I would like to rate them higher but the seating situation needs work. The chairs are kind-of small. People who are heavier have a hard time sitting in these chairs or can't at all. I saw one man who could only sit on the very edge of the booth and all the while the table was jabbing him in the gut, and another poor guy have to eat standing up. I know some may read this and think, well, lots of not great things and probably blame the people dining in. I'd argue though, that they may want to be a little more inclusive. Add a few table with regular chairs or maybe not bolt the tables to the booths to the floor. The food was not that bad though. The service was friendly and the restaurant was as clean as you would expect it.

1st Time stopping in at Wiener Works and I must say I was a little disappointed. I enjoyed the all beef hot dog, but the menu is built for 1st graders, or rocket scientist. It was simple but confusing all at the same time. I was expecting a place that served many types of hotdogs with a variety of fixings. That's where the disappointment came in. I was confused from the time I walked in and all the way back to my car. Wondering what my order might hold. Good luck to anyone on your first try.

I was getting their Wednesday special. The person in front of me in the drive thru sat at the window for 14 minutes to get all their food. I was watching the time because I had a doctor's appointment down by Cape Fear and was afraid I was going to miss it. By the time it was my turn my hotdog was luke warm and the bun was really mushy from being in a bag for so long. I would have really appreciated if they employees had asked the person ahead of me to pull into a space while the rest of their food was prepared and then waited on everyone else in line. I hate to say it, but such a disregard for customers and basic efficiency that all other drive thrus have figured out make me not want to go back.
