Sushi Court

My mom and I went to dinner one night here and things were ok. We got the bento boxes which came with some sushi, spring roll, rice, your choice of protein, shrimp, tempura, and a salad. The salad was just lettuce for the most part which wasn't ideal. My shrimp and veggies tasted a little off, I can't explain it it was just a weird taste to it. I liked the tempura, the spring roll, rice, and miso soup. They ran out of the california roll so I didn't get that but that was okay because I'd also ordered another roll of sushi, which I can't remember the name of and it was HUGE. I know it had shrimp tempura and avocado it in with crunchy flakes and a drizzle on top. The sushi was pretty good, the only thing I would say is that the wrap, I think seaweed, that they used was hard to bite. I would bite a piece and the seaweed wouldn't give. But when I ate the leftovers the next day it was fine and not hard like before. Our waitress was nice but it took us a while to get serviced, waitresses were walking around but no one came to our table for the first 15-20mins. My mom said it was ok, she'd had it before and said she probably wouldn't come back. I say that I'd give it another shot because I don't think it was bad overall.

Enviroment: Friday date night around 6 p.m. Enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to wait an hour to be seated. The environment was quiet and intimate. We were seated immediately. Food: I had the chicken yakisoba and my date had the chicken Hibachi and we both had the sushi combination appetizer. The chicken Hibachi was great seasoned well and had the yum yum sauce on the side. I had the chicken yakisoba which was good,loads of food, however, it was a bit on the salty side, which I think was due from the noodles and whatever broth they may have been cooked in.Our waitress was attentive and even took time to show us how to use chopsticks. Cleanliness: Like most restaurantsI frequent that have carpet, there was an odor however I think it was due to spilled drinks and food over time. I'm sure something a good carpet cleaning could resolve. Everything looked clean, yet somwhow I missed the sanitation score.I always check the restroom whenever I go out to a restaurant just to give me an idea of what happens behind the scenes. The restroom floor sticky and tacky.... didn't hold that against them however it does leave a little bit of.. when wad the last time the floors had been mopped,but in this case I looked beyond it because everything else was clean. Overall, my scores is 4.0 for great date night environment the food was good with the exception of the salty yakisoba..I'm sure isolated event... restaurant was clean overall with the exception of the tackiness on bathroom floor and that could definitely be an isolated situation as well. . At the end of the day I will go back again even on a Friday night.
