Widman's Candy Shop

I had just visited Sweet Dreams Confections and wanted to try the chocolate from here too. I entered and there were two young girls behind the counter. One seemed to be training the other. Nobody greeted me or said anything to me while I browsed. I looked around the store and I didn't find it very appealing. A minute later a girl came from out of the back of the store and asked if she could help. She was somewhat helpful, but not very friendly. I only bought a couple different flavors. The chocolates seem somewhat small. They didn't taste grand either. This was my first visit here and I would not want to go back because of the overall experience.

Very clean store, nice displays that are easy to shop. Chocolates and candies are packaged in cute bags and containers (I bought a bag of Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans and the bag had little coffee cups on it). They do samples so you can ask to try a piece of chocolate before splurging on it. There is also chocolates for special occasions (new baby, for teachers, new home, etc). The Chocolate Chippers they make are the hands-down best.

A family tradition of excellence in making chocolate. If you are in the Fargo ND area, you must stop here for chocolate or a sample of their many candies. They are world wide known for their milk chocolate "chippers"...potato chips dipped into their signature family recipe milk chocolate. So yummy. They have gift boxes also. I Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys good candy and chocolate to stop in to Carol Widman's Candy Store.
