The staff always super sweet and very kind. We probably would like their breakfast better than the lunch menu. We stopped in on a road trip we were taking with our 4 kiddos.

This is a great family style restaurant. The menu is extensive and the food is good. The Buffet is exceptional. The service is fast and friendly. It is definitely worth your while to go here especially if you are shopping at Ebel's General Store. Never go to Ebel's if you are hungry.😄

We always go to Ebel’s Market when in the area, and always have lunch at Duane’s Family Restaurant. Everything is made there, from the real mashed potatoes, to the wonderful pie. Simple food at a great price.

Like probably 70% of Duane's patrons, we were in town to shop the deals at Ebel's and wanted to eat first so we wouldn't be hungry when we went shopping. I'm not sure it's possible for any place to be more of Family Restaurant than Duane's. Talk about homey. For lunch, the special was a meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. And it was outstanding. Almost, though not quite, as good as my meatloaf. (Which I make in the smoker. Don't judge. Try it.) The gravy was outstanding, but a huge factor in the sandwich was the bread. Wow. Great bread. And, because it's such a family place, you can buy a loaf from the in-house bakery. Though we didn't get any of the fantastic dang bread, we did get a dozen of their cookies. Wow. Just. Wow. Great cookies. The bathrooms were easy to find, clean, well lit, well supplied and fully functional. They pass the test! (It's surprising how many places don't get it. Clean bathrooms are a huge plus.) Our service, friendly and timely for the entirety of our visit, delivered our very reasonable tab on request and we checked out in short order. Check my other reviews. I don't give 5 stars very dang often. I was going to give Duane's my standard max of 4 but then I realized, they bill themselves as exactly what they are: A Family Restaurant with great home-style cooking. They hit a home run, so they get 5 stars.

Everything on the menu is good. My favorites are the Farmers Omelet with mushrooms and sourdough toast or the Wet Burrito.
